No doubt Winton is heaven for EVOs, but a good car punted well will be quick everywhere! They do look mint in silver, and to think it was havinga ew problems but was still so quick. Even with only 2L you put me into the shade :) But I was louder...thats all that is important

Yeah good point, but it does lack top end power, will see next month as I'm thinking of entering the WRX round at Sandown...

and with a damn nice note to boot Troy. Glad to see you actually got to enjoy the thing for the whole day.

Had a fantastic day taking 1s off my PB in the cars second outing. Admittedly i dont mind the RWD or lack of front wheel driving force :ninja:

Jack pulling that time in your first outing is just plain silly.

You can talk, doing sub 1:40's on street tyres in a rwd car is very impressive, same goes to ssxRicho, you guys drove the wheels off that thing, on standard brakes!!

Nice vid there Troy, time to get rid of the seat rail and look at getting the seat solid mounted to the floor. I had a Bride seat rail in the GTR and although it didn't slop around like yours it did have a litlle play in it....

Fark that thing sounds insane, good to see your punting the thing and getting more needed seat time....

Jack, with limited seat time, you had the car pegged almost from the get go. The silver with black enkeis looks the part as well.

I can't believe the Femno and Jonny car went through another set of pads. You guys drive the nuts off that car thumbsup.gif

The weather the way it was, PB's were had all around (would have been nice if the sun stayed out mind you and put some heat in the track)

Marty and John in the GTR also got PB's.

Bloody brilliant day. Troy where is the video of you sliding out of the 110deg left corner. I have one of me looking in the rear mirror giggling like a school girl.

But here is the last session of the day.

Thanks for the feedback Jack. I'll ask you the same q when you've spent some more time behind the wheel.

Bris - holy crap that seat is moving around heaps  I have Bride rails in mine and there is no way they move around like that! Have they been around the block a few times or maybe its the fitment to the car??

WTF?? Jack has an EMO? Brisby did an entire track day in his R32?

What's the world coming too!!?

Oh and Jack - don't write off the EMO straight line capabilities. Blaise's car with an EMO 9 turbo and an E85 tune has my car pegged in a straight line. Drop the weight and get the tune right and they will run a sub 20 no worries.

Ye but you weigh half as much as Bris dude lol, that's a fair factory in itself :D

How i miss screamer pipe, im gonna be dreaming of external gate tonight for sure!

Good vid! I dont think I have ever seen you drive so straight and accurate! :) You do seem to give away a fair bit in the straights so must have been fun really leaning on it in the corners and under brakes to keep up with us. Can see why it was so much fun :)

Will post up some more vids tonight. There are plenty of my usual bloopers from either trying too hard ot trying something different :)

Yours are for the bottom mount seats so are completely different to the side mount rail I am running. Yes, had the seat out on Saturday, it is bent from all the moving around. Straighted the strap on the rear tunnel side mount and welded some 15mm angle iron to strengthen it. But still not good due to the design....I am just going to make another rail like my old one. LOL, I happily gave it to a friend because I thought it was too heavy. Seems with strength comes weight :(

you are kind of asking a lot of it big fella ;)

LOL, yeh I know :)

I have solid rails that I made for me GTR, they work great and doesnt bother me that theyre fixed because im the only one who drives it.

well I didn't make mine, but they are solid mounted.

car vs wall at 50kmh, rail held up fine.

Cool, thanks. Could well be easier then making my own. I will have to see how I go. I did get these made up when i was going to soldi mount my seats. But holding off because I want to wait until i strip out all the sound deadening and colour code the whole interior.

Nice vid Richo, what software program you using to sync video with gps data?

racechrono2avi, all you need to do is export the csv data from the gps (not sure if that will work with the qstarz data).

http://www.racechrono.com/news/?p=92

then bring them together with premiere elements.

you got kids? you can get elements student edition, $90. Else $130-140 ish.

and me giggling as Troy gets his sideways on.

Serious? I thought it would take more than that to keep up with your car in a straight line, what power is Blaise running?

I'd say there might be a 1:22 in it at Sandown the way my car is at the moment, although I don't know how it will handle the ripple strip abuse.....

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
