Been. Having trouble fitting wheels on my wifes m35 stagea when you lower the rear do the wheels pull in much . Put a 9.5. Plus 38 on rear hangs out stock height. If I lowered it would this wheel sit in gaurd again

the wheels do tuck in more when lowered...............

Get adjustable coilovers,

For the price, I don't think adjustable suspension is always what's needed.

Sure, they're handy for the adjustability, but really who adjusts theirs often enough? Every set i've had has stayed at the lowest point lol. Except in the RX7, but slightly different application to a road car.

You can pick up lowering springs for under $300nzd these days, plus replacement Koni/KYB shocks aren't that expensive...

And really, they had no listings for V35 King Springs? I've priced them up through Repco...

V35 springs may well be too soft at the back, mine were. The fronts were too low for everyday driving, I had to put a spacer above the spring. The BC's cost me $1200, not much more than a set of V35 King springs cost and I can set them up however I want.

Geez, what you paying for springs then?

From Repco, King Springs are $140NZD a pair. Cobra a little cheaper but sag.

I think I paid $350au a pair for the kings on my Soarer, that was a while ago though. I cant imagine they are $100 now, we get ripped over here for most parts. Still, my point is the V35 rear spring rates aren't suited to our wagons.

Suited to who's liking? :P

I really should stay away from posting here... The info is very helpful, but the people are much to opposite.. I'm looking for the lowest, most unpractical, clunking, banging, scraping M35 there is... lol

ive got the v35 springs and they are shit. lol do not want EVER again!

but i know what you are talking about. mines scraped on everything it could possibly scrape..

You need to look at the tyre charts for your particular tyre - if you use a wider tyre with a lower profile the rolling diameter (which is what matters) may be able to be equalised front and rear.

e.g. (and I haven't checked to see if this works) Front 8in 235 45 17 Rear 8.5in 255 40 17 may be close enough. If you use the same sized tyres the rears will be a little more stretched and the height reduced - you might get away with it but I wouldn't risk it.

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
