dasic1
I got around to cleaning my car and taking a couple of pics. The rear muffler is the Nissan sport one with the switch on the dash. All week I had been trying to pick the difference and couldn't, I could here the electric motor when I flicked the switch but that was it. Turned out the butter fly was seized so that is all fixed now. I also removed the front section of the air box just to see how it sounded. When I took it for a drive after that with heavy braking for 100kph there is quite a bit of shuddering but im sure if I get the disks machined and new pads this should be ok. What also happened twice after flooring it to 100kph and then slowing to a stop was the engine stalled, Any ideas what could cause this? Also dose anyone know what this is? scotty nm35
It sounds like the throttle body needs a clean if you are stalling, then a throttle learn procedure. Save for some r32/r33 gtr front brakes, the stock ones are just too thin for such a heavy wagon, don't waste you money on trying to fix the single pot setup. ETC toll device by the looks of it, bin time. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/373305-dasic1-m35/#findComment-5954093 Share on other sites
SABBAi
Hi Andrew, That is a super neat looking 35. Those wheels suit it to a Tee. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/373305-dasic1-m35/#findComment-5954182 Share on other sites
jasevr4
Looks great mate. What sort of wheels are they? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/373305-dasic1-m35/#findComment-5954242 Share on other sites
dasic1
Thanks Im not sure what the wheels are there just the ones that were on it. There not what I would go buy but they will do for now. Ill have a look at the throttle body next weekend, I dont normally drive that way so not a real problem. Ive been have a bit of a look around and looks like the skyline calipers will be the way to go, I dont need anything to special. Do they have to be the GTR ones, how hard are they to come across? Daleo
R33 GTS-t is the same as R32 GTR non-brembo; 296mm dia, just a 30mm rotor instead of 32mm. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/373305-dasic1-m35/#findComment-5954372 Share on other sites

pipster11
aren't the 34 gtt brakes easier for you guys to bolt on being 14mm and all? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/373305-dasic1-m35/#findComment-5955414 Share on other sites
Daleo
aren't the 34 gtt brakes easier for you guys to bolt on being 14mm and all? Yes, but they're not exactly handing them out on street corners; if you get my drift... pipster11
worth the effort tho, bigger than r33's but not as expensive as brembos Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/373305-dasic1-m35/#findComment-5955494 Share on other sites
Daleo
No argument here, I simply couldn't find any when I was looking. R32 GTR and R33 GTSt are a dime a dozen, and there's scope for an interesting upgrade there too... Jetwreck
Go for the r33 brembo's then Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/373305-dasic1-m35/#findComment-5955595 Share on other sites
slippylotion
I was I initially going for r34 brakes but ended up with r33. Still a good cheap upgrade. I think these will be more than good enough for an m35 as 95% of them will only see street duty rather than the track. $300 for a front brake upgrade is pretty good value to me!
