Hey Rob, thanks for posting up the pics. That wasn't one of my worst offs. I'll have to post the one that cost my my carbon lip that was.... exciting.

I can't sleep either, or at least can't stay asleep. I get to go back out today. Can't wait!

Haha, yeah I kept going straight because I thought I still could see the xenon's 10-12 cars back.

Getting your battery checked?

I'm thinkin I wanna come to one of these at some stage... I wanna get my engine issues sorted first though (comp test to see if timing is out from the 100k service).

Looks good fun...

Could always tag along with one of us Owen!!

Great day had by all. Huge thanks to the Exec. team for organising a fantastic day. Ran really smoothly and the friendly turn out just added to the fun.

The little Proton ran flawlessly all day and drove home with out a problem which was a bonus. The drive to work this morning was a little more interesting with the brakes obviously deciding that they'd done enough work and had gone on holidays so I should probably pick up some a new set.

Only issue I had all day was the wheel falling off jack as I was draging it across the carpark, but what can you expect from Super Cheap.

Hope everyone had as much fun as I did and I'll see you all at the next one.

48.35 thanks to Harry's lap timer

What GPS location did you use? Also, how to you define a track - either the interface has changed since I last did it, or the Alzheimer's is kicking in early...

Rob - nice photos!

Hey purchased the pro version friday night

turned up to track and it worked

Checked it by using it in 2 cars , 2 drivers

Made myself sick looking at the phone screen while passenger on track

Hope this helps

The run off real isn't a problem. In the areas there is very little, your car doesn't want to point in that direction if you do lose it, and due to the low speeds (I believe max speed I heard on the day was 130KM/H. Eric can confirm what he was getting down the straight in the GTR). If you do lose it, you don't get that far off the track (Unless you're Duncan and do it with WOT in 3rd with 400RWKW being let loose... And even then, it wasn't a big off)

The track is awesome as Duncan said. And we will be booking it again.

We had 3 cars who had issues with noises, and they all ended up being allowed to run, as the MDTC staff will help you to quieten it down, in quite a smart way.

In regards to booking again, we can basically pick a date that is more then 6 to 8 weeks away, and we can nearly be guaranteed to get it.

I got 135 by the end of the straight, High score?

and

Unedited, but there they are

nice video Matt, im guessing thats your avatar thats in the video? nice ride man, seem to know how to steer around there so im guessing it wasnt your first time on the track. Nice placement of the go pro too, suction cup to the inside of the window, wanted to do same myself but i think i would have had to flip the picture upside down in editing to make it watchable, did you have to do same?

Cheers pat

Just stuck it on the window with the suction cup mount, didn't have to do anything special.

Yeah, been there before, was only the second session of the day, so was still working out entry and exit points for the 34. it's tricky in the wet.

    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
