If you track it, this is probably your best option anyway.

Try buckling or cracking one of those TE37s, it hurts.

Waiting to see fitment pictures of these on the 33.

+1 also wanting to see what they look like in the Varrstoen style 19x10.5 +12 is what im going for eventually...

mike, ideally you would need to roll your arches.

see here:

http://neweraimports.com/carDetails.jsp?carId=321

if you want to order volks, we are the cheapest around

er, i don't want to argue, but i compared your prices for te37's to nengun and they're a little bit cheaper...

I got them from the Varrstoen dealer for australia. If you need the number, let me know and I'll find it.

I ended up going for the 19x10.5 +12 in black.

I'll post some pics once I get them.

+1 for a few pics.

Also looking to get a setup like this :)

Did you know how much each one of the Varrstoen's weighed in at? just out of interest..

Fit perfect, with more room to push out?

I presume this, that way you can run the +12 without issue.

Best way I guess will to see the pics of the 10.5 +12.

Yeah its got a bit more room.. +12 shouldnt be an issue..

yeah they look pretty good, more interested on how they fit on an r33 gtr, i was scrolling through the uk gtr forum and found this, just wondering if anyone knows if this is absolutely correct and what would be a better fit on an r33 gtr without modifying gaurds 19 x 9.5 +12 or 19 x 10.5 +22?

this is what was said (car spoken about is an r33 gtr)

"9.5" +12 and 10.5 +22 are basically the same setup either way (is this true?)

I am running 19"x10.5 +22 Top Secret edition TE37 with 275/30/19..with HKS Performer Coils...no problem so far...

10.5 have to be fitted with no less than 275 width..9.5 can be use 265"

also what are the benifets of going 10.5 over 9.5 if there are any. cheers

You can run bigger tyres obviously, but most use 10.5 just for aesthetics just with a 265, really 265's are great on a 9.5. Not many people run 285's/295's which are what 10.5s are suitable for.

Personally I'd get 10.5 + 15 with 265 tyres with the provision to go bigger tyres if needed

Good stuff.

Black wheels on white car looks nice!

Yeah post pics.

I just got tyres for my TE37SL there 19x10.5 +22 with 265, chucked them on the car lastnight it looks like they might scrub against the black inner guard liners everytime i turn full lock i guess looks pretty close between the tyres and guard liner but not quiet sure yet got no motor atm so gotta wait and find out after a test drive >_<

General question to those who have fitted TE37 (or similar) in 18 x 11 +18mm on a R33 GTR. Is rolling the guards at the rear required or do they fit well? Do they scrub on the front at all?

Thanks

I run 19 x 10.5 +22 offset and 275 rubber with no issues.

I wouldnt go any lower than 275 on a 10.5 inch rim. The 275's are a bit stretched already.

Depends on the tyre chosen.

AD08s in 285 for example fill perfectly square edge on a 10.5

Where other 285s don't quite look "as wide" once on the actual rim.

Got 265 RS-Rs on a 10.5 at the moment, definately need at least 285 in the RS-R.

I reckon a 265 AD08 however wouldn't look as bad, so ye, depends laregly on the actual tyre.

    • Have a vb in honour of the car comming back
    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
