Welcome to the AMG club.........Thats a mean looking machine.

That pipe is going to sound good, will have to put a louder one on my 6.2L so I can still hear my engine!

when are you getting a G wagen munro??

Nah, Im happy with my E63 AMG.

Besides, I've got a new metallic black Land Drover Discovery 4 on 20s for towing duties. Martin just tuned it to around 640nm.

Seb has pretty much bought the craziest 4WD money can buy....................its going to look sick down Rundle St.

Dare you to get some mud on it.

congrats on the g

i drove one last month (non-amg), along with a few other 4wds, but all were a bit too ott for me - i bought and sold an RR Vogue Supercharged within a few weeks because the body roll was really unnerving and had this weird driving position where i felt i was sliding forward out of the seat when braking and turning

i ended up going with a 12 FJ, surprisingly little body roll, and this way i wont be too upset when i hit the rocks and come away with bruises - first time doing the whole off -road thing

Not sure if there are too many advantages to be had with a larger plenum domino

The jury is still out on that one with VR38. There are companies making them, but look for some hard data :)

(GTR manifold is a pretty nice thing out the box)

Words simply cannot be used to express how great this is!

I got goosebumps when I saw that pic above ^ in the engine bay, looks stock!

I dont think theres anything on the roads that will be able to match or come close to it!

reliability is on our side

Sam, agreed. From what I've seen on YouTube and US boards the Lambos are geared for 100-200 MPH runs etc whereas R3s are pretty much good at everything you could conceivably want from a street car: drag, circuit, street. Personally I am not interested in the flying mile type of events.

What intrigues me is the G6 tranny. I've never had a car with two pedals ...

Building the rest of the cars support systems around the engine at the moment Mark - god only knows you must know the feeling! :)

Carrying out centre exit exhaust system, twin mount rear vent coolers (trans/rear diff), secondary front mount oil cooler

Triple pump fuel system, all new lines, transmission bracing, front differential bracing, the list goes on.

Turning the key on it and tuning it should be the simplest part of the equation.

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
