I was sharing what ACA just showed in adelaide and they focused in on his rego and car model

Your jimmies appear to be rustled. Are you rustled because someone from Victoria stole petrol from one of your SA servos and now you want the petrol back?

People are dicks in imports all over the place...honestly, the Skyline's reputation can't get any worse than it is, thus I don't really care that someone stole petrol in one. I'm as likely to get pulled over in mine as I was before the ACA report. If you ask me, you're the real criminal for watching the show?

And finally, in case you didn't notice, this is a motorbike/Ford/taxes thread...thus your topic of Skylines is irrelevant to our interests.

It was on tv in adelaide and who knows where else ?

the car was from vic it wasnt specific about where the fuel was stolen , i laugh at how you guys pass it off like nothing and attack a fellow sau member ( not a young noob either) yes i posted it in vic on purpose

Vic rego so you might know him ? Do i need to elaborate futher geez us

theft is theft and isnt a joke like he makes it ? even if petrol companies rip us off daily on prices

Once again lack of respect ? Glad i didnt go to nationals in vic if thats how you treat sau people , keyboard warrors

i would comment futher but i wont bother

6 months now... I've already scored a better job in a different department, but it's the same pay. Looking to move up to another dept soon

Now I'm working with collections correspondence, so basically I deal with solicitors, trustees and financial agencies as opposed to customers.

We're not attacking you, just saying that we don't really care about a bullshit, sensationalist ACA report because things like this happen everyday. This time it just happens to be in a car that we also drive.

Aaron have you looked into when you get your 'Merc', if it's you or your employer that will be liable for FBT? Some companies make the employee liable for the cost. But I'm assuming a mega-rich company like Mercedes will just pay it on behalf of its employees.

i dont get what you mean..

after a year of employment im pretty sure the car is work in as part of your package including fuel insurance rego servicing(which it doesnt need) and at 7000km on the car you notify fleet and they organise you a brand new one for just before 8000km. but it all depends on if your level 5 and higher.. 6/7 only get a lease

If I have to pay for the car as part of employee lease(which im hoping i dont have to) apparently the lease amount is claimed back through tax(well for me anyway because I travel in the car for work)

im not 100% sure though because its still 10 or so months away

      Possibly avoid using a Cometic one unless the deck/head surface are perfectly flat. I did have a look just then and forgiving gaskets such as Tomei or Nitto don't exist for the FJ20, however the Bar-Tek or Kameari ones look good and might do the trick.

      Because pipe threads for pipe things. M threads for bolt things. Throw some teflon sealant onto it and dust your hands off knowing you did the right thing, instead of going twice around the block to achieve a result using the wrong things. Of course, all of these solutions are ignoring the fact that the minimum thread pitch we're talking about here is 1.25mm, with the 1/4" in NPT or BPS being out around 1.4mm. You will need to know that the boss you're tapping has enough thickness for at least a few threads. That's one of the reasons that 1/8" is commonly used - because the pitch is <1mm. And why would you look to use 1/4" NPT in a BSP country anyway? Ugh.

      1/8NPT drill size = 8.7mm. Since the hole got messed up by me, it’s probably around 9mm.    So 1/4” NPT would be next step. A drill size of around 11mm would be preferred there which is not way of my M12 (drill 10.5mm and tap M12 threads)
