ah okay.. they are nice.. then again what super sport 600 / 1000 isn't! apart from maybe a gixxer front end!

Gixxer has one of the best looking rears (with fender elim.) The yamahas don't really do anything for me front or rear...

I'll be gdoing for a red/black 09 cbr 600rr...front is the best looking apart from the 1000 blade and the ducatis, and the rear has grown on me

my mate got an air horn fitted to his vw, seriously one of the best things ever.

rofl at johno falling for the prank.

hey johno look at what his VR6 badge says!

johno looks closely at badge***

BAAAAAAAAAP!

johno dies.

Only thing that keeps me away from the cbr1000rr is the rear.. don't really like that rear light, r1 rear looks heaps better (with new exhausts / fender elim) and r1 maintains a good front end imo.. ducatis just too expensive at this stage and KTM rc8 looks good except for that front light, and yeah agree with gixxers rear looking awesome.

Looked better in the promo shots IMO.

Was just looking at R1 rear end photos and I reckon it looks heaps better in real life. Photos don't really capture the weird angles in a nice way.

So you gonna get a super sport?

So you gonna get a super sport?

Yeah leaning (see what I did there) more towards a super sport - need a new job first as I'm currently unemployed then hopefully get one before summer, I'd get a motard if I had other friends with motards so we could f**k around together but because everyone I know / ride with has full road bikes kinda makes it pointless, except birds came on a bike track once like a baws.

Tossing up between, r1/r6/cbr600/cbr1000/rc8 but would all come down to a good deal in the end.

wowee, think i prefer the 08 shape though

yeah but no more skids for kids in playgrounds :(

not sure about the 200kg wet weight of a 1000, considering I'm about 70 myself

Mate my ex was 58kg and got her 1000 up off the ground; no excuses.

haha

actually are Stu's bags engineered?

Ah nice. Thanks for the info. Might suss one out on the weekend. You have to book test drive?

I tried through the website (like you are supposed to), no-one got back to me. So I called Subaru Docklands and booked a time. Toyota on the other hand, you're best to just call. You'll either get a wanker salesman that wants a deposit intending to purchase before test drive or you'll get one willing to offer you a test drive - luck of the draw.

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
