That sounds about right for an R33 GTS .. GTS-4 are a bit worst I believe, having potenital AWD + being heavier.

When I had my NA R31, I got about 450 to a tank (400 if I drove spiritedly).

I now have an EF XR6 5 Speed and I got about 650km / tank / normal driving & about 1000km / tank highway driving (quite amazing for the car it is).

This is all using regular 91 unleaded. When I used premium in the 31 I got maybe an extra day or two worth of driving out of it, in the falcon it doesnt make much difference at all.

When I first got the 31, it had heinous economy, however I replaced the oxygen sensor & sparkplugs and it got alot better.

yep its a r33 with all the parts on it from factory so they are not performing like they used to. People with turbo's usally have more knowledge and money than people with non-turbo's, note the engine bay :) . Thats why there car can get more fuel, its in better condition.

I get 500km to a full tank around normal roads (no highway driving included) using highways about 600km, GTS-4 and its 2.7L now.

I used to get 300km to a full tank but i brought brand new-

Fuel pump

All the Filters

Oils

AAC Valve

Cold start Valve

Coolant temp sensor

TPS

Rebuilt Engine

Engine Gasket Set

O2 sensor

Plugs

seems to have fixed it.

its probably not that far out depending on how easy your driving it, even with a power fc and gentle driving i get approx 450 out of a tank, but usually can only get bout 50L into it even on the empty line, so that doesnt sound so bad i guess, maybe your just doing alot of city driving and bit heavy on the throttle plus bit low on compression and tune etc

+1 to the falcon, i drive one daily and it is just superior for doing the km's, 10L/100kms it is just pure torque, its an auto and 1700rpm just gear changes flowing and keeps up with traffic, easy and economical what more can you ask for? handles like a boat but thats not what its being used for lol..

:whistling: 800kms from 75L in a 1700kg twin turbo whale.

Its all about how you drive them

you have a gtt-L?

they're about 1600kgs or less though, 1jz ones. boosting around i get about 500-600km till the the thing starts to surge under boost. i did about 800kms on one tank when i was driving the thing back from shitney.

Its pretty much the L-package...has all the options except leather

Prob weighs 1650 less driver

I hated that surge with less than 10L in the tank...fixed it with a new pump though, can go WOT with 5L and no surge

i have an L pack too, just that, dickhead of the previous owner, put in an aftermarket steering wheel and boss kit, and cut off the wires for the cruise control and stuff. so, i lost some awesome features.

pray tell, what pump did you put in? new toyota pump? or an intank bosch?

nah. s1.

if it didn't have cruise control, it wouldn't have the A/D light coming on right?

i'll have to go hunt for a bosch 910, i'm sick and tired of that surge, and also the L pack's fuel sender is the shittiest thing ever invented. only has a vague idea of how much fuel i have left. so i wait till it surges. lol. so, i'm not sure if i want the surge or not.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
