hi all

learning a lot about my car over the past few weeks :)

anyway, how hard is it to change the rocker cover gasket on an RB25DET Neo engine?

do i need one each of:

do i need any grease/gasket goo as well?

easy enough to do while i'm changing spark plugs?

also, CV boot replacement quote of $200 (front driver side only). is that reasonable? or should i get a quote from a specialist CV place?

many thanks all :)

^^I'll see your $120 for a cam cover gaskets and raise you a full OEM engine gasket kit delivered for $200.

They were wanted in a hurry.lol When you live out of the city it is difficult sometimes getting parts.

When I pull down the G to turbo it I will take you up on that offer.

this is what i need, yeah?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200668207240&fromMakeTrack=true

have asked whether it will fit the Neo engine, and about the half moon seals

I would also consider paying the extra for a full gasket kit and sticking whatever you don't need on the shelf. Usually within 2 years you will need one or more of the other gaskets.

If you haven't done a 100,000km service, consider ordering the "60,000 mile" service kit while you are at it and get him to combine postage.
