Did you visit lisbon? Another amazing city. So many lovely people and even the chicks talk to you in the clubs (un like here).

I went back in 2008 backpacking for 2 months. been itching to go back since!!

Did actually! But I did a different sort of trip - didn't get to stay nights unfortunately. But I did get to see a large number of places in a short space of time. The food I had in Lisbon was awesome, some seafood-stew type of dish which they're meant to be famous for. That arch / gate at the end of the main road is pretty amazing. Got some photos of it somewhere.

Backpacking would have been interesting, bet you would've got some good pics that way. Wished I could get more of a feel for each place, which you'd definitely get by doing what you did.

Jay, I've found a new respect for your pan shots. They really are, much harder to complete than they appear.

cheers. once you know the trick (pivot around the nodal point as much as you can) it gets a bit easier. not sure if it makes a huge difference or not, but ive been taking them in portrait instead of regular lanscape. gives more room to crop from. love your shot! where is that? thing i have found that makes beach shots hard is the waves. yours worked out awesome tho as there are no waves that just suddenly vanish. something else i find hard is working out framing for a huge pano.

took the kite out again. really need to work out a low cost/tech answer to the stability issues. turned the camera around this time.

would love to take it over water, but i dont have a waterproof case for the gopro so not real keen on risking it. my flying is getting a bit better too, was practicing walking the kite around and dodging obstacles. wish i had a second gopro to film the flying of the kite. saw some awesome shots but had my hands full with the kite strings, lol.

I meant to post these in here (already put them up in the SAU Nats wrap up thread).

Is that SS8 Cohan R34 GT-R?

Man that car is extremely sexy. Never thought I would like Craft Square Mirrors but they look tasty.

cheers guys. might be a little while tho, cause a couple of the lights broke and i cant afford to replace them yet. start my new job on sunday night tho so hopefully i can work out a way to save a couple of bucks from that

i think the higher the fstop the more flaring you get from light points? not 100% on that tho

EDIT: did some research...

Oh, I meant that it was just still coming in waaaaayy too bright/overexposed. I should probably wait until the sun has gone down more from now on to see what I can do :) Nice to set up the camera on the tripod on the balcony... Mental note, don't point it at the hot neighbours ;)

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
