zebra
99% of the time a -10an hose is big enough, but like I said have a look inside the fitting. see how much smaller the hole in the fitting is compared to the ID of the hose, I can tell you now it wont be 5/8" inside the fitting which restricts the oil flow Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/383557-gt35-oil-restrictor-help-arghhhhh/page/2/#findComment-6119372 Share on other sites
GTScotT
Zeeb you mean the OD of the hose. The issue is a 5/8 ID will be fine, but buying a 5/8 braided hose might have a smaller ID. 5/8 is 16mm, so if the flowpath (ID) of the hose is 16mm wide then youll be right. zebra
nah I mean inside diameter, the fitting fits inside the hose, ID of the hole inside the fitting by science must be smaller than the hose Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/383557-gt35-oil-restrictor-help-arghhhhh/page/2/#findComment-6119427 Share on other sites
jet2nv
Internal diameter is 5/8 just checked with the supplier then measured again so now all i need to find is a fitting for the oil feed with a 1mm restriction Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/383557-gt35-oil-restrictor-help-arghhhhh/page/2/#findComment-6119446 Share on other sites

jet2nv
from what garrett/rotamaster/mtq have told me is to use a 1mm restrictor in the oil feed fitting its a must it might not happen staight away but it can happen dual bb turbos need no where near the ammount of oil as a journal or bush bearing as told to me buy these places ive have to many dual bb seals die due to no restriction the seals are only rated to 65psi or so they said and its safer to use a restriction then none soi think im just goin to get one Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/383557-gt35-oil-restrictor-help-arghhhhh/page/2/#findComment-6120873 Share on other sites
