It will be a case of as you were at Toro Rosso next season after the team confirmed Jean-Eric Vergne and Daniel Ricciardo.

Ricciardo had a stint with HRT last year before moving to Toro Rosso for the 2012 campaign.

"I am really pumped to know that I am continuing with Scuderia Toro Rosso for another season and want to thank the team and Red Bull," Ricciardo said.

"There are big expectations for next year and I'm ready and willing to fulfil them.

"I feel I have been growing and developing as a driver and my approach to the technical side of the sport has also progressed this year, so I am sure that will serve me well in my second season with Toro Rosso.

"We have had quite a tough season, but despite that, I have always enjoyed a good relationship with all the guys and I am delighted at the idea of working with them for another year."

Team boss Franz Tost added: "Both drivers have done a good job this season. Daniel joined us with a few grands prix under his belt and so his feedback and experience was particularly useful while Jean-Eric got up to speed, often having to deal with tracks he had never seen before.

The Hulk is going to Sauber next year.

The rumours of his move to super Swiss Sauber subsided somewhat spectacularly over the last couple of weeks, some were saying he would stay with Force India, some even suggested he was going to replace Stoner at Repsol Honda.

Whaddya reckon? The Hulk for Perez? Has Saubers line up improved? I think.... perhaps?

Yes. If for no other reason than they will have someone to qualify well. Di Resta must be less than happy though.

So where to for Jaime. He has hung around the BBC team , Pirelli test driver and stated that he is confident of a good seat for 2013. Looks like Force India, but if he can bring a few dollars of personal sponsorship I would love to see him at Caterham....though he did say the 2013 drive was a step up from his 2011 seat

Force India is my bet for jaime as i don't see him as a 'pay driver' instead more of a 'paid driver' after his rant on williams (about pay drivers) which is also another team i'd like to see him race for with maldonado.

Williams will be interesting. Who they put in that seat will speak volumes about how serious they are and whether they are ready to man up and put a good pilot in the car at the cost of funding.

FI have already lost a few people which makes me think that next year they will not be as competitive and would bet serious money that STR will jump them next year. I dare say Caterham may even step up with some of the technical people they have on board.

re the aus gp and the people going.

Red Bull expects Mark Webber to do what is best for the team if circumstances dictate that he needs to help Sebastian Vettel.

With the championship battle distilling down to a straight fight between Vettel and Fernando Alonso, Webber could play a crucial role in the outcome of the title battle.

But although Red Bull will not impose any direct orders on Webber until he is mathematically out of the championship hunt, team principal Christian Horner said on Thursday that he has no doubts the Australian knows what is expected of him.

"Mark is a strong competitor and he is a big team player," explained Horner. "I am quite convinced that he will want to see the team achieve its best possible results.

"I am sure as a team player, if required, he will do everything to support the team.

"Mathematically now it is very difficult for him to win the championship and he is a smart guy. He has been an important part of the team and I have every confidence that he will be doing his best to help the team achieve its objectives for the championship."

When asked to expand on whether any direct instructions have been given to Webber, Horner said: "I think you can talk about so many scenarios and then a scenario you haven't talked about is the one that comes up.

"Mark is a bright guy, and he has been around a long time. He is a key member of the team and I think that he will be able to do his best.

"His primary objective is to make sure we achieve the constructors' championship and for us that we have got both drivers ahead of Fernando [Alonso].

"He was desperately unlucky last week not to keep Fernando behind after having to run reduced power and KERS for most of the race. So he will be driving his best to ensure that we have got two Red Bulls right up the front end."

Whomever they put in will be a pay driver. Which is not to say they wont be any good. It used to be that pay drivers were universally shite. But nowadays you dont get through the lower formula without bringing coin. That it carries on to F1 isnt a massive surprise.

Hope Caterham goes ok next year. They actually appear to be half serious, unlike the other two noob teams.

Shits me about Webber, it was a similar situation to what we have here back in 2010 and you read "Mark is an intelligent team player" when back in 2010 we dont believe in team orders and no talk of Zetool doing what is right for the team. Again Mark has thrown away a strong championship challenge with some strange no shows. He comes good when we go to Europe at the start of the year and he comes good for the final few GPs of the year. Where the hell is he at the start of the season and the 3rd quarter :(.

I am tempted not to even bother to tune in after lap 2 this weekend. Watching Vettel steam role makes me want to cry. I want to see his Kers f**k up every 3rd race

Yep He is up against all the clones.

Forza Fernando !

Maybe the angst Homo feels against Vettel who ripped his stats to bits as the youngest most successful driver ever !

may lead to a crash of epic proportions.

Leaving Mark to take the win !

with Nando a close second.

Hey you have to give the Chin a Chance.

Regardless of what Marco wants !

Go Webber, and thats from a Jockaneese tiffosi !

Translation: Mark is to RBR what Massa is to Ferrari. He will move over for Vettel IF he actually managed to be in front of him

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
