Bob, you won something :)

Can't remember what, but I'm sure they'll put up results somewhere.

OK........ Cool.. Thanks for that.

I haven't heard anything though.

Yeah, was all handed out at the Dinner. Unfortunatly a lot of the people from the S&S had shot though by then.

Was great seeing both your cars together. If you didn't catch the Guy who judged the ADM, and want that chat, you can PM on SAU under "jetwreck"

Without stating the obvious, not yet. We need to put them up here, and I don't have them, and have been at Sandown all weekend with the DR30.

However, if you had of come to the dinner, you would have known a week ago :D

Just a note on the sprint classes. Dennis has been moved across to class D and the results amended. That was done a couple of days ago when it was pointed out to me but the results are on the same link as before.

The remainder had to be checked out by myself while I dropped a sprint run to try to spot every car to check on classes. Most cars which were registered and driven to the day would have not ended up in race class, Fatz cause it is Fatz! Plus he and Jenna have been tracking that car pretty hard for a couple of years. I think Dennis is one of two cars I did not manage to spot while walking around.

The regularity results are up on the same forum link with the rest of the sprint results. To explain them, the regularity is scored by the standard deviation calculated in Excel between your three fastest laps of the day, so every driver who did at least three timed laps on the day went in the regularity, the closer together your fastest three the smaller your standard deviation and the better you do. A small club I am part of has been doing it's whole championship like that for years as we have about six regular competing members in five very different cars and the regularity format takes the car out of the picture while still not having to do anything but drive it as hard or as gently as you want.

GTR32G, just to put in another apology, I actually was expecting you to move up behind me pretty quickly and was looking for you, but between us we managed to time you moving across with me changing mirrors as I was starting to move towards the kink and I lost sight of you entirely as you went into a blind spot (Between the cage and helmet and driving position (Very very low, the windows are at my shoulder) the blind spots are not small) Just glad that there was no damage done, not what I want to see happen at a track day and certainly nothing I want to find myself involved in.

I also want to put up a thank you to everyone who helped on the day and everyone who entered, Given the format of the day (With Group A/C demos and or passenger laps between each timed run) I think that five timed runs of 12 mins plus two passenger sessions at the end of the day is not bad going. on a normal day without the historics there we would probably have had seven timed runs for the day.

Gday, I"m wondering if the trophy for the show and shine were ever sent out ?

999 AutoShop Best R33 Modified winner – AL.62.VB

Thanks, Mark

I have your trophy sitting on my Desk, we had the rego number, but not the info for the car. can you please email [email protected], and I will get it sent out to you. Yours was only 1 of 2, of the over 100 trophies we gave out that is still to find a home. Congrats on the win, and I am looking forward to sending your Gold medal out.

    • Yes I can see how that would put you off HFM, especially with the price of good quality brake fluid. From what I understand it as you say the BM50 is the standard BMC for a R32 GTR, I must admit I would like to go far a Genuine Nissan BM57, but lack of cash prevents that at present. With the price being so close between the genuine BM50 and BM57 a BM57 New it seems a better choice as you gain that 1/16 bore size with the BM57, I would be interested in how much difference you feel with the BM57 fitted. I am going to take SteveL's advice in the short term and see how much actually comes out of that proportioning valve vent and save up for the Genuine Nissan part. Thanks for clarifying the HFM failure
    • Thanks mate. I just got the post inspection 1/2 done from state roads when the starter motor packed up, either that or the car alarm system is having trouble.  OEM part number 23300-AA112.
    • Hi, I though I was coming to an end in finding a replacement starter motor for a rb25de neo. I came across a starter motor from Taarks and a message below stating: Direct fit. 11 Tooth count. All below part numbers have been superseded to 11 teeth. Can some body shed some light on going from 8 teeth to 11 teeth apart from 36-month / 25,000 km warranty for passenger vehicles to 12 Month Warranty. Compatible with the following Nissan part numbers: 23300-20P00 23300-20P01 23300-20P05 23300-20P10 23300-20P11 23300-AA111 23300-AA112 23300-AA300 23300-08U10 23300-08U11 23300-08U15
    • Low battery? Maybe check capacity? I know first-hand, on BMWs if your battery drops below 80% capacity, it starts causing strange issues.
    • 8.5 +37 = should fit rear, but I think it'll hit on front. What you want is low 30s/high 20's front, mid 30's rear. That 17" screenshot you posted looks good, I'd run it on my R32 (but that's long dead now). For tyre sizes, my rule of thumb is: 8': 235, 9": 255. But that's just my opinion. Nismo sizes: 18x8.5+35/18x9.5+38 is a good starting point.
