this thread has quickly turned into i want something but dont want to spend money.

Im not saying buy it, but you would be hard pressed to get anything near the cost.

Power costs money, for 210kw you dont even need a haltech, save your money, buy a nistune and then once youve got your new motor/setup buy a more capable ecu

I think this has actually quickly turned into "You need lots of power and need to spend heaps of money to get it" type thread, where the OP was just asking where he could get his car tuned ;)

Jangles engine is an awesome base for power, and a good buy for sure. If you're looking to rebuild an engine from scratch, it's worth looking at as you'll save yourself a fortune. If you're simply looking for a tune (and it sounds like you are), ignore our ramblings. Everyone has a budget and priorities, and they differ greatly :)

So gt garage sounds like the one and only. Will get in contact with them when I put in my haltach temp sensors and get a intake pipe sorted, might go for something that will give me a bit of dose and wire in the boost controller side of the haltech

EVERYONE NEEDS AT LEAST 600HP ALL THE TIME!

IF YOU WANT THE RESPECT OF THIS COMMUNITY YOU NEED BIG POWER.

Nistune are pretty friggin awesome, really easy to tune too.

this would be good

260kw eeeeeeasy

I've had nothing but problems with my haltech Boost control, I'm going back to turbo tech MBC when I stop being lazy.

If you want dose, go straight pipe same diameter as the turbo mouth, about 15-20cm long. Any bends in the pipe take the volume\pitch right out of it. Thinner walls give higher pitch too. Aluminum is higher pitch than steel too. Plastic is higher again.

Hopefully your boost cOntroller is a rare occurrence because that was one of the big reasons I got the haltech, yes in a perfect world 600 horse is what we all need and deserve no respect unless we have it,, I will buy or build a motor like jangles but don't have the coin at the moment and I can't afford $100000 to build a limiter bashing 25 like zoids so the 20 will do for now, would that turbo have mass lag on a 20? 260 kws wouldn't be much fun for 2000 rpm haha,, be nice to buy that bullet proof 25 that Lewis engines do for drift cars something you can flog the shit out of o and need to get a r33 box, takes me a whole year to get what zoid spent on his build :) all in good time will get more cappaciry into the 32

I forgot you had a 20, I thought it was a 25 for some reason.

Not sure what turbos are good on 20s :/ Never researched it. The dyno results thread in the forced induction section is a good read.

lewis engines did the crank, head and balance work on the one im selling! (stop saying things i can reply to!! =P)

a hks 2530 is a good turbo on a 20 from all reports, makes 230kw from memory, think danielH had one for sale in tas section

youll also need injectors, fuel pump and a Z32 afm unless your haltech is MAP based

p.s. no engine is bullet proof from limiter bashing

Haha I know and yea have inernal map sensor thats why I got it so wouldn't need afm got pump, getting injectors shortly and yea a bit of saving for turbo and manifold wastefgate and new exhaust flange it's all $ so might stuck with the 25 turbo till that poos itself reckon I will upgrade the motor before spending too much on a 20

thats the best option imo.

no point spending twice

20's take a serious beating...

td06+20 was one of my favorite setups. If you go with a td06 set up on the 20, then you can use the same manifolds, plumbing etc when/if you go to a 25- then upgrade the td06 to a t67 and everything will bolt up to it.

anywhere + of 220rwkw with a 20 is where you start spending money... nistune, z32, fuel pump, injectors, coil packs, fmic, oil cooler, decent exhaust, and a turbo set up. All this gear will line up on a 25 if you upgrade too.. Don't bother changing the standard inlet manifold on a 20 either.

Justin.

    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
