Sunday 16th of May at Wakefield.

It is on again and this one will be far the most hotly contested events we have run. There are lots of GTR's out there that really want to have a go and knock me of the fence and beat my zed. ZED V's GTR challenge. This track suits 4WD so it should be interesting. I know of three guys who are very good drivers and have full race car R32 GTR's that I suspect will give my slot car a real challenge. Terry who owns the GIO Gibson GTR said he will be bringing it.

No track experience necessary and it is a very safe track. Always a big turn out of GTR's and GTS-Ts. Free to come watch, or if you want to have a go.

We will have events caller, transponders in each car for timing, trophies and a short drift comp in the middle of the day.

, details and entry form on our site.

Carlo has organised a trackday at Wakefield for the day after (17th) so I might go and watch this UAS day, stay over at my parents place in Goulborn Sunday nite and then drive on the Monday event.

Yes I plan on doing the same. Double wammy. As long as my zed survives.

Might take another set of tyres.

I was so sure that this would be a video of a Zed overtaking a GTR at Wakefield....

...... but then I realised that a Zed would had to have beaten a GTR for you to have footage of it :):(

... is it limited to this track only?

:)

and :bahaha: to you Merli

Better watch out tho, I seem to remember the z setting about 1.08 last year....which is pretty competitve....and thats before the franken-zed was updated again....

never copped a whooping befor, doubt it would happen, but we'll jast have to see, neer been to this race track so might be fun first time at the track and over all winner.

I think someone is setting himself up for a very hard fall :(

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
