Stock.

Don't talk him into power mods just yet, I want to get it all running first before he throws a rod out the block like Jetwreck...

Stock to begin with like scotty said but 245/250rwkw ballpark is the goal.

Over the coming year builing upto getting my full lisence I wall be slowly saving my pretty Pennies to do a full M35 stagea nose on a V35 skyline to make a MV35 stagline.

Engine, gearbox, body... Everything.

So i there you are parting with some OEM stagea parts let me know on this or PM me.

VQ25DET turbo and 5AT box

Looking for preferably white body parts.

If there is anything I should look out for in stageas also let me know

Hahahah taken twice as long as planned but hey slow and steady wins the race. Bring on 2014.

This will probably be the last post before Christmas and the new year. So i would just like to wish the stagea family a Very Merry Christmas, (may santa bring you all the car parts you asked him for) and a Happy 2014.

I would also just like to say that im sorry for all the crap and drama that i may have caused/be involved in and just generally being a dick.

Though im not a stagea owner, i will be more stagea than skyline. Since spending time in the stagea section i have met some awesome people that have helped me heaps and i am very thankful.

2014 is going to be a huge, scary and ground breaking year. For the car, me and my wallet.

I look forward to sharing the progress with you all.

DRIVE SAFE AND KEEP SAFE!! :-)

Good luck Mark, carry some baguettes and French wine/champagne just to be safe! Here's to possibly Australia's first Renault VQ25DD-T.

It wont be a VQ25DD-T it will be the first VQ25DET sedan. Dont like wine but i have some baguettes on the list before i leave.

I was slammed and never got pulled over. I have a leaking Y pipe which makes the car sound like a wet fart, i also have a recaro seat which causes my airbag light to blink. I dont speed, tailgate or anything like that so i should be fine i rekon.

I dont drink beer or wine (taste like shiiitttt)

Do not diss the baguette. You run baguette power too

The Count down is on. Only 5 weeks away. Everything seems to be on track and hopefully nothing pops up that results in me changing the dates.

I caved and bought the M35 aero blanks that popped up on ebay not long ago. Considering how long it took and how much it cost dale, i think i scored well.post-88192-0-38603900-1389617902_thumb.jpg

Little bit over two weeks to go. Getting excited but very nervous at the same time.

Gathering the stuff ready in two crates ready. Just have to buy oil and filter and im set.

Big thanks to Travis (one of the few non Vtards) who found me the missing bits of trim for my.option momo that someone on here sold me and has not been helpful at all. I think some of you know who it is.

Also looking for the woodgrain door grab trim strips. Would also be keen on a black leather/woodgrain gear shifter to match but not fussed.

The part numbers might be on the back of the hand grabs...

Also If you get a VIN with the optioned parts and put them into epcdata you might find the option.

*EDIT* I had a quick look could only find

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/03-04-05-Infiniti-G35-door-panel-wood-trim-grip-handle-/230775342365

Which I believe is only half of what you need :(. epcdata showed f**k all.

    • Something I meant to say when we were chatting the other night about having an open trailer floor being great to work on a car, but you've never used the feature... It's a great place to park a car after doing suspension component changes, and do the tightening of all the bushes with the car sitting at full ride height. Especially when you don't have a 4 post hoist!
    • That is way more science than even I would use. I just eyeball it, not even accounting for the non-verticality of the tape measure when held on the lip and the centre at the same time. +/- 2mm is good enough for the girls I go out with.
    • So, before putting them in I need to understand the stock ride height. This is how I measured it: First, check the diameter of the wheel's centre cap, it was 52mm. Then put a piece of masking tape approximately across the centre and measure 27mm (half) from at least 3 sides to get a reasonable idea of the centre of the wheel cap. Mark that with a horizontal line as one measuring point. Then, directly above the wheel on the guard, put another piece of masking tape in approximately the centre. Use a string line to find out the point on the guard above the centre of the wheel cap and mark that. Then it is simple, just a tape measure to check the distance from centre of the wheel to the centre of the guard. Final results where  LF: 381mm RF: 379mm LR: 401mm RR: 400mm Pretty even considering they are 120,000klm old factory springs, lets call that 380 front and 400 rear.
    • So....knowing that I have a problem with power steering temps on track and another Wakefield day booked in next Friday, I've done the obvious thing They are very reasonably priced at $1650, considering they are a big monotube shock, double height adjustable (don't have to change pre-load to change ride height), one way adjustable damping and standard sized and customisable springs if you want something other than what comes with them. They come with 9kg/mm front and 4.5kg/mm front and I went with that as a starting point because I'll add adjustable sway bars too https://justjap.com/products/bc-racing-coilover-kit-ds-ds-infiniti-q50-v37-14-current#description Unfortunately they didn't come with rear strut tops so I've re-used the factory ones which was a bit of a pain. Also, the adjuster for the rear shock will be an absolute nightmare to get at, and while there are extensions in the kit I can't see any way you can actually attach or use them
    • I also had 2 bulbs blow at once, years ago in the stagea. made for a fun drive home. The issue was the voltage regulator had failed in the alternator and it was giving 15+ volts. Really, I was lucky all that was fried were the headlight bulbs. So, I'd suggest you check the voltage across your battery terminals with the car running and warmed up. Yes, you will need a multimeter to do so, sorry.
