nothing is the same as Injector Dynamics - yes they all start off as the same base model Bosch but ID do their own thing to them and then sell them, whether or not that's marketing or an actual improvement in the injector itself...who knows, but enough people who know what they're talking about comment on ID's specifically, so i would like to think there is something to say of the process ID undertake.

The price isn't that much different, just get the ID's. And don't let anyone sell you the bog standard ones and say they're ID's, they're not. It sounds stupid to point out but only ID injectors are ID Injectors :D

Don't be so sure, they just machine the end, flow match them apparently and ship them out in sets. From the factory the Bosch ev14's are matched very well, no point importing ID's imo when the same product locally is so cheap and comes with warranty.

Injectors online will send you a set of ev14's, they machine the tip onsite, I think so it clears multiple plenum installs. No issues with them here...

My ID 2000's will be here tomorrow. So i will let u know if they fit or not.

When Sir Rb was swappinghis injectors at my shop on saturday his 600cc injectors wouldnt fit in his stock rail either. But then we used the stock o rings and they fit perfectly. Basically there was too much "crush" on the oring and couldnt push en in

700cc sard injectors :P

and yep ended up changing all the o rings to the standard ones as they wouldnt fit in, but thats all good now and sorted

never thought the 1000's or 2000's fit the standard rail...we shall find out soon from Jez

Dont tell me that man. Maybe i should get em flow tested first

I could've been very unlucky fingers crossed you'll be fine. Got Godzilla to flow test them and from memory at low duty cycle the dud was 7 or 8% out. :(

Yavuz, Steve and I were talking about this exact topic. The short story was;

ID's flow very very close to one another.

The 'standard' items need some mixing and matching.

Came straight from the horses mouth!

That's the first I have heard of issues, 8% would be a factory defect and certainly be replaced anyway but most people wouldn't check and shouldn't be expected to. Were they bought through the Aus distributor or off ebay?

I don't particularly like the 2000's design but the 1000's have been great in my case and the other few cars I have seen running them. Same with the 750's. I may ask for a flow test on the next set I get as the supplier guarantees less than 2%, I figured there would be more variation in the fuel pressure to them than that 2% would affect on afr's.

2% is still a fair bit. Aslong as u can position that injector in cyl 1 or trim the inj per cylinder egt's. But thats a pain in the but on rb26's. Its near impossible to get temps from them

What's wrong with the 2000's design?

There is a big plate at the end, with jellybean gaps for the spray to come out, it doesn't look like any nozzle I have seen. The supplier mentioned there would be no warranty with them if I ran e85 as the rubber o ring wasn't compatible and also that they were primarily a natural gas injector. As they would certainly be in contact with Bosch I took them at their word and stayed with the 1000's.

I will probably just run 12 x 1000cc injectors and make a custom plenum if I ever get around to building the VQ35det.

Mine seem to work just fine.

Idle and drive better than my old Sard 800's and after 18 months of E 85 use, look just like new.

Even watching the wideband on constant load/throttle, the 2000's AFR's don't 'jump around' anywhere near as much as the old Sards.

I was put off by what they said, obviously. Especially losing the warranty.

I had heard of all the good reviews on them from here, including yours Paul, and other searches I had done on them but at the end of the day you would usually go with what the professional in the injector trade suggests for your application.

Did you get yours flow tested Paul? I would be very interested to see the spray pattern, especially at lower pressures. Perhaps that's another thing I can ask the distributor to help me with.

No I haven't. Maybe I should seeing that they are out of the car.

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
