The Group A that was tweaked here by Gibson Motorsport was better than the one in Japan.

The Winfield Chassis #5 sold last year for over $900,000.

The GIO Chassis #4 was sold more recently for an unknown figure.

Both cars were sold with extras including magnesium wheels, trailer, computers, mapping data etc

I don't know for sure, but I suspect that it was a customer car program for japan. So you fronted up with your $400,000 or whatever the cost, they built a car for you to race in group A under your racing team. Much like you had rouse, eggenberger, and others in the RS500s. So no, there isn't a magical version out there, they are the race cars tucked in the museums in japan. :)

There are 4 remaining australian GTR group a cars. One was destroyed by skaife at Adelaide. 3 are race ready, the remaining one getting put on show in Victorian historic racing events.

pretty sure there are 5,000 homologated group A cars. Then there is 560 "nismo" cars which are group A evolution. The red car pictured is an actual group A race car lol. It was an add for nissan at the time. They had to sell 5,000 models to be in group A. But group A rules at the time said you could use special parts if you made at least 500 to be sold to the public. So that is the reason the Nismo models were made with different aero etc. So they could use it in actual group A series.

LM GT 4's are back baby!

Limited to 100 pieces (sets im guessing) get ur wallets ready to RIP! Actually they are a great price at the current exchange rate.

Now we just need the 19 inch version to make a comeback as well. Shame they arent in all colours since im not a big fan of the black but hey its still great to see the love from nismo

Surely the yanks will be onto these too with the 32's starting to flow in. If you want a set id be getting in quick, although id say if the first 100 go quick the will surely do another run.

Looks like the got sick of the constant inquireys for more Lm gt4s and finally did a run for us nismo lovers :)

it says that "- First production number will be 100 pieces. After the first number sold out, according to inquiries from customers, there also be additional production"

so they may do another run

    • I usually source pressure on inlet manifold after throttle body
    • Where is the best location for boost pressure source when running mac 3port boost solenoid?  my new turbo does not have a fitting for that on the compressor housing.  how come Garrett make a turbo without that?  im confused
    • From my memory, which isn't that great, we did have issues getting the large throttle body on my old LS1 to play nicely at idle, first it would stall, then it would only idle at 2k rpm, then it would hang at 2k rpm for a few seconds and then drop and stall, then, finally, the best we got was it would hang at 1.5k rpm for a few seconds then drop to around 800 rpm The tuner stated that large cable throttle bodies are a PITA, and if I wanted anything better than what we ended up with I would need a electronic throttle body and all of the aftermarket ECU stuff to run it
    • So, my intake arrived  I'm not happy with the coating finish so I went to Supercheap and got some black wrinkle paint and some prep stuff I was initially thinking about using grey wrinkle paint, but finding a quality product that gives the texture I want was "unfindable...", so the tried and tested black wrinkle paint is again finding its way into the engine bay for the OEM look I'll sneakily head into work and get the big ovens cranking to cure the paint over the next week or so I've also contacted MX5 Mania today to talk about the install and tune, so painting it is my "main effort" prior to sending the car off In other news, the correspondence from the US supplier is fair to midling to say the least, I'm still trying to track down the intake box thingie with the larger intake pipe to suit the throttle body, it still is "awaiting fulfilment" (no stock currently available), if it isn't here soon I'll just get MX5 Mania to fabricate up a CAI that is easy to service the air filter
    • Thanks mate. I thought it would be that way.
