For low cars I'm sure we can organise wooden planks for any super low cars.

Also need to re-iterate:

  • Entry to the show is free to the public if you want to come have a look
  • Only SAU VIC members can have their car on display (per council permit)
  • The $50 is a membership drive for new SAU VIC members. Normally it is $70
  • Membership will pay for itself and then some if you ever decide to use our sponsors/supporters. Also need to be part of a CAMS affiliated club if you do ever decide to track your car.

Perhaps the same people who were worrying about static move in/out times at docklands last year! No more mention of the war / the entrance...we will have it covered! Worst case scenario, you don't like the look of it and drive home :)

So for a topic change, how does everyone prepare their car for this sort of thing? Do you polish and wax, full monty or just a quick squirt off at the pay n spray?

Should be great walking traffic at Como, I've heard the place populates on a sunny day.

My preparation will consist of the following.

- Get out of bed

- Shower/clothe myself then eat breakfast.

- Get into lift, go to my car, open doors start it

- Drive to Como park

- Park car

- Admire it in it's full commodore glory

- Go home

Just a quick wash and go for me

Unless someone really feels like washing, clay bar, polish, sealant & waxing my car for me :D

na leave all the rubber marks from the track day on there ;)

My preparation will consist of the following.

- Shower/clothe myself then eat breakfast.

Geee aren't we lucky ones!!

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
    • Well the articals keep saying a Q50s (Skyline in Japan) with a new Manual gearbox. I like the talk about the new looks with the round tail lights. I hope they bring back the retro look like they did with the Z
