Give me a PM if you are selling the stuffed gearbox, I need a new case for my spare, it has a hole in it...

Will do, i was offered 20k cash for my car yesterday.. i may go ahead with that. I can get a work car now and the V will only be a weekender, saves me having to buy a new box and shit. The guys loaded with money anyway.

If you get it all installed, I would be interested to know what you think of the JWT Clutch/Fly and how it compares to the factory Clutch/Fly. I am getting sick of the feel of the factory clutch and the narrow engagement window - I have been thinking about the clutch pedal mods, but haven't got around to doing anything yet.

The downside is I have heard if you replace the factory DMF with a standard single piece flywheel, you get a lot of chatter from the gearbox which can be annoying at low RPM..

Well apparently the car has an excedy twin place clutch in it now, i've never driven a manual v35 with the stock clutch so i can't be too sure if it's legit..

I saw a factory CD009 at UPS last week. It was put aside because 1/2 the box was covered in fluid - suspect cracked case in transit - LOL!

Oh shit.. don't tell me that haha

  • 3 weeks later...

Update:

I have been in touch with Z1 performance in states over the last few weeks ttrying to find a better deal for what i want.

Here it is so far:

CD009 Transmission

Chromoly Pivot Ball

Stainless Steel Clutch Line

Nismo Pilot Bushing

JWT Clutch & Flywheel (tossing up between Nismo or UR flywheel as they supposedly have less chatter under 2000rpm)

Redline 75w90 gl4 gearbox oil + same stuff with gl5 for diff oil.

Z1 performance originally quoted me $1,699 + $775 shipping for just the gearbox alone.

I approached Coz at ConceptZperformance a while back and received no response, got an email back this morning from Coz saying "shit that's expensive i'll do it for $2194 delivered" definitely happy with that.

Definitely pays off searching around for a good deal as i'm very happy with saving $300.

Costing me a total of $3068 total delivered in 3-5 days which is great.

Now i just need the money!

Yeah cool cool he said he does alot of high value shipments to Australia and no one has complained to him yet about any GST or taxes lol so that'd be good if he does that.

Couldn't have picked a shitter time of the year to spend $3000.. around xmas and my mrs is expecting a shit load of presents as they do..

If they specifiy a figure under $1000 on the customs delcaration, you will probably be fine.. but just be aware, Australian Customs has been cracking down on this sort of thing recently.. hopefully they won't estimate the actual cost of the items to be above $1,000 and therefore won't invesitgate.

just wrap up little bunches of coal... your near a mine. it should be easy for you to get.

From what I know, if the declaration to customs states that the item is under $1k, customs duty won't apply.

However, if you do get it shipping insurance and it doesn't arrive, they will only cover what's on the declaration. Is $750.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
