So 1 yeah has been and there been some massive progress...

I washed it a few times, repainted the lower lip, made some proper bov delete plates, swapped back to the 720cc injectors and mounted my surge tank properly.

And thats it....

Pretty weak i know but i was playing with other toys.

Reinstalling the 4 channel amp and possibly going to make an airbox this weekend, wont hold my breath though.

Will post a pic or two when i get home.

Started to reinstall the amp two weekends ago, but forgot where i put the power and earth leads so i need to buy new ones. Also have ordered new battery terminals as the old ones have too much stuff coming off them now and look rubbish. Will do a tidy up of the power and earth wiring around the battery while im at it.

Next on the list will be fix a few small interior and exterior trim bits and what not that have annoyed me for too long. Oh and rego, that should be a priority.

Nothing much on the update front for this, did a service and replaced the turbo oil feed line on friday night as it was leaking. Has been nice just driving again.

Interior bits and pieces are still a focus, but may need to get the rear diff rebuilt as it has developed a bit too much backlash and clunks a bit.

Tune still hasnt been done. Need a 4bar map sensor and injectors before going for more power, and probably valve springs soon after that.

Yet another update (mainly so i can look back later and see what i did and when).

Spent a little bit of time on a dyno last week and only managed to compile a list of stuff that needs fixing before i go back on again. On the list is;

1. The poor old tial 38mm wastegate is just too small to control boost properly and needs to be joined by another one.

2. Need to suss out map sensor issues (jumps between 2-3 load points all the time even at constant throttle/load). Have put a filter in the line in the hope that fixes it but have not checked as of yet.

3. Knock sensors are in a land of their own (picking up massive amounts of knock all the time)

4. Wideband needs recalibrating

Didnt manage to get any full power runs in as it hits boost cut as soon as the turbo spools. The most we saw was 280awkw @4900rpm before it cut out.

Will get onto fixing stuff after world time attack weekend and report back.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
