Hi All,

Didn't know where to post this(I'm sure admin will move it if needed)

This is a little desperate as we need to get to Phillip Island for the 7th so I thought I'd start here.

The trailer(without the car) was stolen from Gladesville at 12.30AM on the 12th. We had Security footage of a fat ugly c@#t with what looked to be a VT/VZ Commodore Wagon hooking up and driving off.
Below are pictures of the said trailer with the only difference being that it is now silver in colour with GIO livery. This is a one off custom made trailer so made with refrigeration wall's.

The trailer is a replaceable item however the 8 wheels which will only fit a Group A GMS R32 and are irreplaceable....these are the main things we are after.

Any help with recovering this would be great and a reward will be paid depending on what condition everything is in when we get it back.

So sorry to see this Craig.

If this has already been repainted, are there any other identifying markers that are easy to see?

Could there be other CCTV footage at that time within a 2Km radius of the theft? Clubs/Servos?

The only identifying marks are that its plastic refrigeration material......and the backdoor open's upwards.

currents pic's below.

How low are some people really

Will try and keep an extra eye out for the trailer and give you a hoy if see anything mate. That's all I can do (I guess).

Could be hard if it has been repainted but the photo does help.

Locked in to my brain now.

Surely this trailer will stick our like dogs balls at any motorsport event?

even after painting.

what are they going to do, leave it in the back yard?

also, CCTV good enough to get plate number on the commo?

One would think so Luke!

Maybe they were just hopeful that the car was left in the trailer, but then, what do you do with such a car that everyone knows and all the parts are bespoke?

Hopefully CCTV shows number plates.

Sorry to hear that Craig, it's been a rough suburb lately. Can't see you getting much out of gladesville station, all they did for us was write notes in their invisible notebooks then head back to the donut shop

That will just discourage Jetwreck even more. Despite the cruel world we live in there are some good people out there (including the police force) and should have some faith. Hopefully it will rerun and the wheels can be retrieved.

Was thinking the same thing about Gladesville station. Hence someone local did a be drive around for me through industrial last night.

Hey Ants,

I'm sure he won't mind me replying, the trailer was insured, however the wheels inside are not replaceable. They are GMS magnisium wheels to suit the GTRs. Can't buy any more for obvious reasons.

So the Car currently is sitting on their only set of 4, which for a race team, is a big PITA.

Please keep your eyes out :(

ahh that's pretty sure to be me, the stag has been sleeping outside because the ute is getting a full rebuild. mx-5 is my dirty boat loving neighbour's, not mine. Drop in for a beer sometime :)

the shame here is those wheels are totally unusable by anyone else in the world (unless terry knocked off the trailer :teehee:).

    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
