Haha i get plenty of questions and do what i can to answer them, none are normally stupid as we all start somewhere! I still learn on here most days :)

I dont know... with the .82 rear and larger front the power delivery is still not going to be as brutal as the 2835...

however in saying this I have not driven a 3076 .82 with external gate on an RB25... but i still cant see it having the agression of the HKS unit, which for me is where the fun is at.

(i have driven an ex gate 3076 .82 on an RB25/30 however... shit was like driving on ice)

you would like mine...I dunno if you been in BIrds car, its pretty quick and very smooth, but mines alot more aggresive

its a bit more nice without the screamer now..

definately more fun if you ask me though it is hard to tell which will be faster without racing em though

Like for like the cast GT compressor wheels are typically apparently nearly 30% heavier than the HTA ones - I'd go out on a limb and say that the GT3076R-HTA wheel is probably lighter than the GT3071R (and GT2835) wheel. Obviously you then have the .82 (as you mentioned) to factor in, but then you also have the greater wheel efficiency of the more modern design... quite a few swings and roundabouts there - but I am more thinking about the net result of the conversion than the initial spool. I personally loved the .82a/r GT3076R, and the HTA is only likely to be an improvement :)

Haha thanks mate much appreciated!

Mate do you have a build thread?

Dyno shows 4000ish on high boost runs..... Feels more lively on the street that what the graph shows though :)

that's what I meant... 2835 was up and running by about 3250...

I dont doubt the 3076 makes the power... but i reckon it's never going to be as responsive as the smaller 2835 no matter what the configuration

No argument there... :)

Some info on the one result Lithium mentioned was in here -

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/417832-precision-pt6766-vs-forcedperformance-gt3794r-hta-dyno-shootout/page-3

And there was another thread too "370kw" in the title i think it was! Interesting!

I also noticed there was a VQ result to be expected but i never saw anything posted about it since...

Do you have a dyno plot of full boost by 3250? How much boost was that?

not on me... I can show you one of my old engine with 98 and e85 that is pretty close, but that was a 200,000+ motor and eventually spun a biggie.

lol thanks! ill look it up!

Looking at the plazmaman plenum, the different size throttle bodies. How big is to big? or is needed etc?

I run the smallest one they have! I think 66mm or something from memory!

That is not a bad innings! Mine is making the power on a 150k unopened motor

VQ is still sitting on workshop floor, but we have since turned back to utilising the existing SR instead :) Wanting something more brutal than linear.

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
