haha, internet english is a shocking language.

Doesn't require too much intelligence when there's guys driving around with I <3 HWY stickers all over their VL's...

Here is something I prepared earlier.

I couldn't help but shake my head for a long, long time...

Here are some of my stats: full license, intact.

Honda Euro-owned 3 years-0 random checks.

Skyline 33-owned 1 yr- 9 "random" checks.

S15-owned 3 months- 4 "random" checks with 2 EPA

mr2 turbo-owned 5 monts- 1 random check

Yamaha r1 motorbike-5 "random" checks.

So basically, if its import, sports car, you will be picked on. Dont let anyone tell you otherwise.

Oh but man...didn't you read the advice? Drive safely without doing anything stupid and you'll be fine (fineD). You obviously didn't drive how you normally drive when you were in the imports.

^^ don't forget the D. Hwy patrol loves giving you the D

#1 post I have seen from a-a-ron!

dw.... it only took 14,582 to get there

Another update of my experience....

Drove down to local coles to buy milk last night, at like 9:30pm. Drove into the carpark, and at the roundabout, there was a car on my right, so I stopped and gave up, then I saw a cop car behind the first car, so I waited a couple of seconds. The cop just looked at me and stayed stationary.

So I drove through the roundabout knowing that he was waiting for me, drove around the carpark and found a park, got out. He pulled up behind me, wind his window down.... So I said g'day office, he replies with "got your drivers license?". He went through all the checks then let me go.

Are imports targeted or was it random? you be the judge lol

    • Might be worthwhile hitting up Facebook's groups, I know most of them contain terrible people and scammers - however you might be able to find someone that's in Sydney with factory suspension you could purchase and/or hire. Just do not send any form of money anywhere, in person cash only.
    • Thanks @Duncan Ride height is fine. I think it's almost stock tbh. Happy to share a pic. I don't actually have a regular mechanic as haven't lived in Sydney too long. Could you or anyone recommend any shops in Sydney?
    • You just need a different blue slip shop (preferably one you regularly use as a mechanic), and make sure the coil overs are as close as possible to standard height
    • yeah the sugar refining companies were pushing for the same in Oz originally, all fuels were going to have 10% ethanol to make them "cheaper" (noting, that the loss in l/100 might be greater than the decrease in price). I guess they won that fight in Canadia
    • GTSboy, thank you again. i’ve been reading all the other SAU RB25 vacuum line threads and you have the utmost patience for people asking “where do my vacuum lines go”. it’s appreciated. i did also enlist a few other RB guys local to me.  i would like to run 5 to 4. turbo pressure side to wastegate actuator. i would like to run 3 to 1. power steering air valve line to intercooler outlet. (this is how it was previously). i was told 2 is the bleed port for the boost solenoid - which i’m not running - so should be capped.   anyone see any problems with that?
