OK so as the first GB was successful and a lot of people are keen for round 2 here it is! I have been in chats with the supplier and there is a 2nd OPTION!

differences between the units are as follows

- Option 1 has IR for night and a G sensor

- Option 2 has full 1080p 60fps (as apposed to 30fps on the option 1) better battery and a newer version of the Ambarella chipset

majority will rule on which cam we go ahead with as i cant do a 5/5 sale

Price will be $139.95 per unit
- 10 units for the GB to go ahead
- $50 deposit up front for order

- Once 10 people are in remaining money to be paid in full prior to order being placed with supplier
- All units will be sent directly to myself then i will send them out (easier to track that way)

Erm anyone's got the night view for option 1 loaded yet and also can confirm if it has GPS function (Australia Map)? I'm assuming camera has local warranty too? If every so, I'll be down for option 1. Cheers.

x 2

Is option 2 basically the same but better camera and battery and smaller size??

Just want to make sure it will still work at night

Option 2 is better again! works at night no issues! given i have been using option 1 myself the IR actually RAISES the ISO and causes the image to go grainy! Thus its better to have it turned off

video to come :)

I'm in the midst of selling the minster of finance on this idea... will get back to you ASAP.

no probs

GPS tagging anywhere in the world! Yes aus warranty on both cameras! Option 2 is the better camera all in all :)

FYI

I have option 2..

It does not do 60fps at 1080p or even 720p

Of a video i did:

1920*1080

Bitrate 9169kbps

29fps

Audio 127kbps, stereo,48khz

It only does 60 fps at 848*480, even then i havnt tested it.

I havnt tested video quality yet.

This i will confirm with my supplier as to what the deal is.....That being said could be a different camera or a copy to the one listed that you have

I use option 1, still gotta test a few different things with the Night View, but I find it a good camera. Although it focus' slightly on the window more so then out on the road.

As to wiring, mine is still on the cig lighter, but once I get my R33 going it'll have the plug cut off and it's just a simple 12V accessory and earth that needs connecting.

That being said, if this GB wasn't so soon, I'd be buying a second one of Option One to shove it in my rear window.

Magically cars have mostly stopped attempting to kill my front end, and they're now trying to smash the back of my car!

yeah i was going to do that, but I opened up the plug and theres a small PCB (with probably a step down transformer - the manual says the camera needs 5v not 12v) which i figure needs to stay. might just pickup a spare cig lighter socket form ebay and wire that in, then plug in camera

locked up the brakes in the wet today because an idiot decided his lane was too stationary and he wanted to be in the adjacent lane (mine) in which traffic was moving at 70 odd km/h. ended up within a meter of his rear bumper.

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow

    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
