Am in the process of removing a cheap crappy alarm fitted to my R34 4 door and replacing it with a better one. Found the trigger points for the passenger doors ok and figured out how to trigger drivers door. On removing drivers door trim to check wiring i found this box wired into the mirror switch. From some research I believe it to be the module for the auto swing away mirrors. It had been disconnected but I would love to see if I could reinstate it. One side goes to the mirror switch and is plug and play. The other three wires however have me guessing. I split the box and they are marked on the circuit board as follows.

B+ (Straight 12v or Acc/On ?)

Earth (Obvious)

Sig (Trigger wire possibly?)

Its the signal wire that has me stumped. Am presuming that it was connected to the dealer/factory remote central locking to which I didnt get a remote for and was activated when you locked the doors either by key or remote. Anyone got any ideas?

Sorted. Thanks Chris. you were right in that they take their power and signal from the keyless entry module. Power from pin three and signal from pin six. At first there was nothing. Had the switch on the door in the neutral position thinking that the module overrode the switch function. Wrong it has to be switched to the out position to work. A bit of buggerising around but is now working. Hit the lock key on my remote and the mirrors swing in. Turn the ignition on and they swing out. Cool little feature with no real use here except for the novelty factor I guess.

Hand for tight street parking. Or in my case Redcliffe street parking where the idiots get within 2" of your car and destroy mirror housings.

yes. i once got back to my car with the driver side mirror facing outwards.....i was very pissed off but the person/car that did it was no longer there.

Where can I get one of these little modules? I would love for my mirrors to swing in and out automatically.

Tommy_J <<<--------- This fella had some, I bought one from him but haven't installed it yet...

Mine is a factory nissan accessory item. Read on another post that someone used a jaycar module for auto window rollup to do the same thing.

Hey man I've just been searching the forum to find it but I can't find it anywhere, would you be able to direct me in the right direction please, thanks.

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
