After a idea what everyone reckons my cars worth, details as follows......

1993 R32GTSt - gunmetal grey

120,000km genuine

HKS GT2510 turbo - makes 200rwkw at 0.9bar boost

FMIC 600x300x65

Re-mapped ecu by Tilbrooks

Bosch 040 fuel pump

DBA slotted rotors and racebrakes pads

Extreme 12 button ceramic clutch with 4.5kg cromoly flywheel

Buddy Club P1 racing wheel 16x7.5 with new Dunlop FM901 tyres 225/16/50

R33 GTR front seats

Quantum coilover adjustable shocks all round

Greddy Profec-A boost controller

Hicas lock kit, and adjsutable front camber arms

car is in great condition

What are everyone's thoughts? May be selling it in the near future, would I get more if I took all the good stuff of and sold the car as standard, and then sold all my parts?

Cheers, Chris

Hard to say.

A car yard would try for 20 im sure....

Private probablly 15.... or so.... It would sell in a few weeks

Taking the good bits out is only gonna cost you. To get standard stuff to replace it i mean. Also this extra stuff separates your car from the one little johnny has seen else where and if yours is a similar price then which would you pick???

Id personally give you 14 firm with bout 2-4 months rego

i'd say wait till the 15 year rule is changed (coming soon to a state near you!) then when r32's are impossible to get cheaply, sell it for an arm and a leg. If you sell now all this 1989 r32 rustbucket influx will devalue your car.

I reckon there's at least 3g of stuff you could seel off the car if necessary. Try to get a few offers, if they are low, sell some of the mods seperately and you can get a bit more for it. Say if someone offers you 15g, you could probably sell your turbs, cooler, seat and rotors for at least 3g, and sell your car for like 14000-14500 to someone else.

just a thought

Yeah, I reckon unless I could sell it to someone I knew or of the forums I'd take alot of the decent stuff out, and sell it closer to stock,

I reckon 17,000 is pretty good value, as it is a 93 model, not a 89 model

I have a heap of spares for it too, GTR bonnet + grill + latch, spare motor, new S/S exhaust manifold, GTR cams, all waiting to go on if I don't sell it.

Interesting to get a idea of whats it worth though, I guess it all comes doen to what someone wants to pay for it

Here's a pic as well

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
