nick_7g
I am beginning to lose faith. I went in with a figure in mind and parts supplied...now the price tag has doubled thanks to "supporting mods". Might need to pull the pin. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/432929-modifying-gtr/page/8/#findComment-7551473 Share on other sites
Anfanee
If you can't afford 2, don't buy 1. GTR's are not cheap. 2 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/432929-modifying-gtr/page/8/#findComment-7551476 Share on other sites
Hadouken
What was said earlier about your mechanic not knowing gtrs, he doesn't know gtrs. Go get a new one. Or how about you do your research and then tell him. Maybe start with this as a Google search. How much power from stock rb26 intercooler. 0zhiph0p
So I've done some more researching lol. It appears I need a bigger pump and not bosh cos they only have 500hr life on e85 and somewhere between 1000 and 2000cc injectors and then a tank of nectar. I guess the hunt for parts begins Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/432929-modifying-gtr/page/8/#findComment-7551798 Share on other sites
Hadouken
My Bosch pump has been going for 3 years on e85 lol Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/432929-modifying-gtr/page/8/#findComment-7551832 Share on other sites
nick_7g
I've read everything and hence my surprise at some of the recommendations. Should have been clearer that I was whinging rather than asking. Seen enough threads to know what miserly GTR owners have shown works. I was expecting to install the turbos and run stock piping and intercooler. But hard to TELL the mechanic what is best when he considers it his job to know. So new mechanic may be the way to go. So thanks everyone for the usual "assistance". 0zhiph0p
does the fuel rail need to be replaced? I read on one thread it does then in another it doesn't. I wouldn't think you would have to. And what do u guys recommend minimum cc injectors. There are some 800cc for sale that say e85 compatible. r32-25t
Just make sure it's anodized cause it works as a heat barrier and keeps any external heat out of your fuel system 2 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/432929-modifying-gtr/page/8/#findComment-7552114 Share on other sites

And what do u guys recommend minimum cc injectors. There are some 800cc for sale that say e85 compatible. Stock fuel rail is fine. Injector sizing is dependent on what you want from the car power wise. Usually 1000cc Xspurts are what I recommend, unless you want more than 400kw in the future on e85.
