Deza3000
Hey guys Ive been getting this annoying squeal from the passenger side front brakes. Pain in the bloody ass, cant even stop without 50 people staring at me =='. I got the shims changed, and the problem still exists! Im bloody fed up. Been happening since i changed the pads to QFM HPX performance pads. I sprayed anti squeal behind the pads and the noise dissapeared for a while (a day at most), then came back worse than ever. Just got new shims for it today, but obviously i just wasted my money. It starts squealing after 3 ks worth of driving, so when its initially cold doesnt seem to squeal. Can someone please tell me what the bloody hell is going on . Additional info: brake fluids have all been changed, rotors machined. Sometimes the squeal will dissapear during the drive, then appear much louder. Also the squeal exists no matter how hard or soft i brake, its just a constant high pitched squeal. Cheers guys. djr81
Solution appears to be pretty obvious. Use a different brake pad. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/433505-brembo-brakes-squealing-passenger-side/#findComment-7067397 Share on other sites

MrFijiGold
^ +1. I had same issue with the same set of pads (check out the brake pad thread) They still squeal a little sometimes but much better overall then before. djr81
costs 380 dollars for another set of brake pads =[ Really? I thought people only used those pads because they were cheap. Guess I was wrong and need to find another reason why people would want to use them. (OO)SKYLINE(OO)
I am not familiar with QFM pads as I run Project MU.But the ones you got, I believe are light track performance pads. They can take quite a bit of heat, at the same time need more heat then stock pads, to stop the squealing...My Project MU B-Spec Pads squeal after normal driving until I get a bit more heat / hard brake with them.Once they heat up, no squeal. Deza3000
Tried bedding them in again, no luck, also tried to get to the pads but the bloody jack snapped ==' Worst luck. Harsh braking seems to make the noise disappear, light braking just makes it squeal. Need to late brake every time to avoid squealing. Ill try another set of pads i guess =[ Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/433505-brembo-brakes-squealing-passenger-side/#findComment-7068755 Share on other sites
