GTR207
hey guysthis morning i went to go for a drive but i had a feeling i should check my fluid levels before i do so and i did, i found a lot of oil in my coolant, we pressure tested the radiator and it held pressure well very small drop in pressure after 15mins, and also did compression test which came back ok.am i looking at a suspected blown head gasket here? or are there other places where the oil could have gotten into the coolant from? 89CAL
Hmmmm 32 GTR so it wont have the oil cooler/heat exchanger. Thats one of the spots where it can happen on 33 GTS-t's Off the top of my head, I think headgasket is the most likely culprit. GTRPSI
GTR's do have a water heat exchanged right under the oil filter..... GTR207
oh well i'll have to check there then, if that is the issue, what's best way to go about it? find another stock one? or aftermarket? 89CAL
Really depends what you want. Stock will be easier only for the fact that all the coolant lines etc are already there in place. An aftermarket cooler will be a bit more work because you will have to make the lines up etc, and its in a bit of a shit spot to get to. But then your guaranteed to not have a cross contamination between oil and coolant Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/435413-oil-found-in-radiator-possible-blown-head-gasket-gtr-r32/#findComment-7120320 Share on other sites
