Wait till 2017 when...

Husband:- "Come outside darling and check out our new Chevvy that's just arrived here in Oz!"

Wife:- "Well how come 5 years ago, you brought home 'something' and it had the same badge on it?"

:P Let's let Hitler say a few rants!!!...

then people will be putting Holden badges on them...

What I love is its all the Commodore owners that preach buying an Aus made product then go put an American tag on it...

On Australia day everybody proudly sports their Australian Flag hats/clothes/towels/thongs/capes and every single one of them has one thing thing in common.."made in China" printed in the corner of it...

Anyway it all comes down to human nature, you see sometimes we are faced with choices...

And when faced with the choose of what should I do today, put a GTR badge on my car or jerk off to midget porn...

Most people would choose to jerk off to midget porn...

So........

So next time you feel the urge to put a stupid useless badge on your car, just go watch some midget porn and masturbate furiously, your peers will think more of you for it...

Actua;y forgot to mention my favourite, saw it the other day but failed to get pics...

A stock VE spack...with HKS and BLITZ and general ricer stickers all down the front door...I laughed hard when i saw it...

I mean I couldn't care less, i am not offended by it..In fact I was somewhat amused....

people however often get offended though because your lack of conform means you don't respect them or are mocking them...

Just like If I told OP he is a f**king jerkoff for starting this thread he might be offended

why am i wasting my time in here, surely I have something more important to do...

Like watch midget porn :P

No, school holiday starts in April 14th and ends 25th April, well at least for NSW

http://www.schools.nsw.edu.au/calendar/?do=setViewPeriod&categoryid=2&viewType=yearView

I assume you were out of school for quite a while ago right cause there is never a school holiday in March.

Yeah I've been out of school for a little while now. ROFL those who know me will get it. :-)

Just for lulz, you can get a GTR badge on a factory Commodore over here:

http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/holden/auction-676101562.htm

Only a stickers 'n' trim job of course, which sucks. Not only does it sound lame (since it's slower than most other Commodores of the same era) but it's disrespectful to the old Torana GTRs. Perhaps the most galling thing of all though is people try to charge $5-6K more for them than the equivalent SV6

Personally, I'm of the opinion that you can put a GTR badge on a non-GTR if you want, but you've got to be prepared for everyone else to exercise their right to mock you for it.

Everyone here thought i wanted to put on a GTR badge to pose as one, IMO they are ugly, i was merely asking for opinions why do people just make a big fuss over one little tiny weensie badge and to go far as to throw verbal abuse at one is just insane, guess everyone just went apeshit at a OP on a thread just asking "why" in the first place.

Well this is the reaction :D

#Gts30t:

Welcome to Butthurt forum, where some members who own a "GTR" are generally butthurt at mere sights of little badges :)

I agree that its a sad thing to do, BUTT I also think its just as sad that people get so upset and vocal about it.

I just have a laugh shake my head and move on, no need to waste my time and everyone elses with childish insults about something which is their choice.

Its not really any worse than getting a few cans of random paints and doing your own paint job.

I lol'd hard when I saw a Murano with Nismo badge on the back and a holden SS badge on the door!!

You started a thread getting upset that people get upset over people putting gtr badges on non gtrs. So by your own reasoning you are butthurt.

As for where you stated that people on here don't comment much about chev badges on commodores, well that is entirely false. They are commented on all the time. But the difference is that technically speaking they are a Chev. They are sold in the middle east as a Chev. A gts with a gtr badge isn't the same.

What's your opinion of ladyboys? Cause a gts with a gtr badge is a ladyboy. Pretending to be something it isn't. A commodore with a Chev badge however, is just fat chick with makeup on.

"The crowd gathered in the carpark at Al's Diner with breathless anticipation, as Fonzie prepared for his finest stunt yet - jumping over a shark tank on his motorcycle. Fonzie later stated he was inspired by a thread he had seen on an Internet forum that suddenly turned lame and pointless. Furthermore he postulated as to whether "jumping the shark", as the thread did, is what led to the unfortunate deterioration in quality of Happy Days episodes. To this day debate rages[citation needed]: did the thread inspire Happy Days, or vice versa?" - Source: Wikipedia. Honest.

Still, Ron Howard got out of it okay, Except his hair. I mean, really, wtf is up with it? It looks like he's got about 300 hairs in total on his head, and they're all scared of each other so they've scatterd themselves as far away from each other as they can. Come on Ron, just shave it like a real man. Then again, maybe bad haircuts are what is required to make a bajillion dollars as a director in Hollywood. I mean, Peter Jackson looks like a Wookie with a high-riding Brazilian and he got a frickin' KNIGHTHOOD!

People who stick gtr badges are the same ones using cheap china crap on there ride. They are in it for the wank factor, and the hope someone who knows nothing about cars but reconises GTR associated with a fast car to think what they are driving is something special. Same thing with lancer evolutions, you have a mint cp9a evolution and some chump with a body kit that cost the price of your front lip with ralliart stickers, went through all the trouble to try and make people think his poorly executed lancer is a rally based street car.

HAhahaha , funny post, I might have to burn my GTR as it had/has a V-Spec11 sticker on it when I bought it

Do these things come off without damaging the surface ???

This thread brings the lolz.

Can't believe kids these days don't have anything better to do than troll a good skyline forum.

Bet you have a sv6 commy and got but hurt by some skyline laying waste to your feeble attempts of street racing.

    • Stock ECU (or more accurately stock tune) absolutely refuses to go over 10psi and behaves like you have seen. The Nistune is the same if it is the stock tune. If the Nistune chip has been tuned, the resulting tune could be literally anything for any combination of parts. The Nistune just makes the stock ECU Tunable.
    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
    • So now we have a radiator with no attachments whatsoever. It lifts up with a particularly tight spot between the drivers side air box mount and the lower radiator outlet, but if you've got this far you will sort that too. This is the lower mounts with the rad out so you can see where the rubber bushes go, it is a straight shot upwards Done! Assembly is the reverse of disassembly, with blood less likely to be shed.
    • Right, onto the second last trick. The Air Con condenser is mounted to the front of the radiator and stays in the car when the radiator is removed. There are 2x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the condenser to the radiator, remove those The bottom of the condenser is attached to the radiator with clips. You need to lift the condenser out of those clips and clear (up, then forward). f**ked if  could work out how to do that last bit with the front bumper on. I hope you can, and you share the trick.  Bumper removal probably deserves its own thread one day once I've recovered the will to live, but basically you need to remove the wheels, front inner guard liners (clips and 10mm headed bolts), the self tapper between the guard and the bumper at the rearmost point of the bumper (same as an R32 that bit), any remaining clips at the top/front of the grill, an absolute bastard design with a plate that holds the top of the bumper above the headlight each side (only 1 bolt which is tricky to get to, but the plate catches 2 places on the bumper and must be removed....carefully!) and push clips between the bumper and guard under the headlight. If you've done all that you will be faced with wiring for the fog lights on both sides and in ADM Q50 RS at least, 4 nasty tight plugs on the driver's side for the ADAS stuff. So, the clips at the bottom look like this on drivers side (looking from the front) And on the passenger side (also from the front), you can see this one is already out Clearance on both of these are super tight; the condenser needs to move up but the upper rad support mount prevents that, and the radiator can't move down far because it is (rubber) mounted. Once you achieve the impossible and drop the condenser off those mounts so it does not stop the rad moving, you are good to go
    • OK, next the shroud needs to come off and there are a couple of tricks. Firstly, there is a loom from near the passenger side headlight to the fans, coolant temp sensor etc and there is no plug to undo.  In my case I was OK to leave the shroud on top of the engine so I just undid the passenger side fan plug and about 10 of the clips which gave enough free wire to put it aside. The fan plugs were super tight, the trick I used was a small falt screwdriver to push down on the release tab, then a larger flat screwdriver to lever the plug out of the fan unit....be careful with how much force you apply! If you need to remove the shroud altogether for some reason you will have to deal with all the plugs (tight) and clips (brittle)....good luck. I removed all of the clips and replaced them with cable ties that I will just cut next time. Also, in the Red Sport / 400R at least, the intake heat exchanger reservoir hose is bolted to the shroud in 2 places with 10mm headed bolts; so remove them (the hose stays in the car; no need to undo it at the t fittings down at the radiator lower mount. Once you've dealt with the HX hose and the wiring loom, there are 3x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the shroud to the radiator; remove those.   The shroud then lifts out of the bottom mounts where it sits on the radiator, up and onto the engine out of the way. Simples
