Some Euro-trash. Just put some 12.5mm spacers on the front of the BMW and lowered it around 1.5" all around. I think the rear could comes down a little more but overall I'm really happy with the stock-but-tougher look.

My Supra

Twin hybrid turbos, cams, decat, exhaust & a syvecs. Should be running about 450-460hp. Desperate to get back in a GTR though :(

What's missing from the Supra that you'd be keen to get into a GTR for? Never driven a Supra so keen to know.

Nothings missing as such, Its a brilliant car to drive & is a lot of fun on the right road (on others its down right scary  )

I'd always wanted a GTR & sold mine way earlier than I wanted to :( Got some unfinished business with it :D

I like that! I'd hate to know how much you spend on fuel in it though with UK prices! :O

Very nice collection mate  Still have a big soft spot for the E36 M3. Yours is a 3.2 (Evo) yeah? A 1996, judging by the series 1 grille but series 2 rims, clear indicators and Estoril colour. Props if it's the 6 speed manual.

Here's my other contribution. 0-100km/h in 7.0 flat, not bad for 1970kg! :D

Matt, what is it a 740 or 750? You know your Beemers as you're spot on. It's a 96, 3.2 Evo and yes a factory 6 speed. Most of the SMG cars are now manual converted as the pumps die and they're $9k for a new one, and all for a transmission that doesn't work that well at best. I love the way they look!

Most of my cars are what I ached for as a youngster but could just never own because of the $$. Ahh, nostalgia.

Enjoying this thread,

Super cool. I bet it's nice to drive? But 1970kgs!?! Holy schmoly thats a large lass!

Cheers boys! :) Christian, it cost a fair bit to put right (but would've cost even more had I bought parts from here instead of the States) but it was fairly cheap to acquire. 1 owner car with books, so that gave me some confidence. And yep you definitely feel the 5.1 metres and 2 tonnes when cornering, but it's sooo relaxing to roll to work and back!

Yeah Nick, it's a '99 740iL with the M62 4.4. Like the S52 they can have some Vanos issues but otherwise pretty solid unit as long as it gets the proper maintenance. Ah ok, I have seen quite a few converted ones on Carsales. I know a little about the E36 M3s as I have been very close to buying one in the past, just couldn't find the right one. I can totally relate to the idea of acquiring cars that one used to want as a teenager too. The E38 and the GTR are two of those cars, for me. So I consider myself lucky!

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
    • Also wanted to say, my new spark plugs are blackened looks like it's very rich. I have splitfire coilpacks but stock coilpack loom and ignitor. I tried directly grounding the ignitor ground to body as well.
