highflow sounds like the go. Only thing is i need quick turn around as its a daily for my mrs with no other car so will have to get another turbo and send it off seems from the site about $900. Pretty reasonable and those graphs seem to be spot on for street use.

Are you sure your missus wants that kind of power? Even 250 would be a handful in the wet...

Was going lower boost in winter or even when she drives it. In saying that she has pretty good control with the foot and is actually very good at getting the car up and going. Not one to just flatten it actually feels what the car is doing. She drove my manual LS1 before and that was a pig to drive. I do understand turbo is a different car but to be honest i have more chance of coming unstuck than she does.

Pretty sure on the avcr you can actually turn boost down in certain gears.

I pretty much only drive it after i do something to it or someone else does.

Nismo GT diffs are great for daily driven cars.. they allow you to adjust the torque when it engages too.

I personally now run a 2 way KAAZ however the car is a street/track car and not daily driven.

A real diff. Quaife or other helical/torsen centre. Nismo or other brand 1, 1.5 or 2 way mechanical, depending on how street/track the car is intended to be.

After doing a lot of reading a lot of people are saying shimming the diff is fine. The LSD in it is pretty tight and predictable from the very little driving i have dont of it..

What is everyones opinions on shimming?

Seeing as its purely a daily driven car.

Also going to leave it at the power it has now and get a track car it looks like. Mrs suggestion not mine. She must of had a good day...

id say drive the car first and see how the diff is behaving. also in relation to your driving style and power levels you are achieving.

An R33 VLSD in good condition isn't a bad bit of kit and if it working fine then I don't see the point in throwing money at a diff. There are always plenty of places to throw money at a skyline. Id throw money at good tyres and suspension before changing out a diff that was performing ok.

If there was an unlike button I would unlike this. A VLSD is only useful in an NA Pulsar.

hey, don't get me wrong. I love a better diff. Ill have a better diff. But when there is usually always something to have money spent on in a skyline then jumping at this one unnecessarily its just not something id recommend. If he was going to be tracking a lot, then yeah for sure do it.

As is said, id go for tyres n suspension upgrades before a diff if the stocker is working ok.

    • Agreed, I've never seen a 260RS specific manual. As GTSBoy said it will mostly be stagea other than the engine loom https://www.hgeconsulting.com.au/stageaservicemanual.pdf
    • You'lll likely have to make do with R33 GTR for engine/tranny stuff, and Stagea for the body. I don't know that there's even been an actual diagram seen in the wild.
    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
