Catch Can Smoke

Recommended Posts

120 psi across all 6 - it could go for a few more years depending on how you treat it. Instead of venting your catch can plumb it to your turbo intake with an oil/air seperator in the line.

Venting the can to atmosphere is illegal and unnecessarily dumps really nasty crap into the air. You should plumb the vent into the factory breather fitting, that is, insert the catch can in the factory system, in the line that runs from the cam covers to the connection in the inlet.

If you do that, you'll totally get more hot babes because you will be far more awesome.

Thankyou for your comment. Driving it like a granny as I want to preserve its life for as long as possible. And my question makes reference to, what could be the possible cause of the lowish compression, rings or valves?

Pull the plugs. Squirt a little oil into each cylinder. Retest. If the compression comes up it its more likely to be rings. If not then valves. But having said that with the uniformity that you have its more likely rings.
