The top tank on my 01 M35 2.5T went today so I will start the hunt for a new rad here in Perth today (yeah, wish me luck!).

I know that the Koyo v35 skyline ones fit but apparently they come in two versions- pin mount for the fan shroud or rectangular hole mount. Any idea which one we have?

Thanks Josh- that's what I did last night. The first one that comes up says :

"PIN BOTTOM FAN MOUNTS PLEASE CHECK FOR RECTANGLE MOUNTS PLEASE CHECK ITEM NUMBER:191157820160"

which is why I thought I'd ask... :)

Well fancy that. Local Natrad had one- $285 and it's mine. Looks like I'll be having a fun start to 2015 tomorrow!

just ordered PIN one from ebay for my 2003 M35 auto. i am not aware there are 2 types of rad. what's your model?

I just bought this golpher 686mm wide radiator from e-bay.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NISSAN-SKYLINE-V35-AT-MT-POLISHED-ALLOY-RADIATOR-CORE-400x686mm-/271079858068?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f1d9e5f94

it fit perfectly, thicker core than standard.

all good!

Hi there,

I have held on eBay with KOYO this morning and went to the seller's store of Golpher. Unfortunately it is close today. Will try to get Golpher one next Monday.

Hey guys, Iv just purchased low temp thermo and new hoses for my nm35.. Alloy radiator is next on the list but there seems to be a few out there, Iv done a bit of digging but can't pin point what exactly is the best option, some require trimming the shroud etc, eBay has a couple of cheaper ones, a Sydney based one and one seems to be a Chinese one called winner racing ( doesn't sound like a winner to me)

Just want to hear best options/best price and feedback before I go and throw a few bucks at one.

Zach

Mishimoto is the pick tbh; koyo do an aluminium high performance version; but at $550 its significantly more expensive.

The Mishimoto will have to come the US, but is excellent quality.

Which thermostat? I have tried a few and only the Nismo is any good. Mishimoto thermostat had the car in it's cold start map constantly and failed quickly not long after.

I have been buying the Fenix rads, the alloy and the plastic tank version. Other than lacking stock they are good quality and local in Sydney.

Try Alex at Moonlight Racing, www.mlracing.co.nz, he lists some Mishimoto radiators on his site already but I didn't spot a Stagea one, which isn't really surprising since no one seems to care about them. He's in Japan at the moment, I think he has a container coming back soon but I haven't heard a peep from him for a couple of weeks, probably because he found a pantie-dispensing vending machine or something.

Tell him Matty from CJC sent you.

The moshimoto is not a stagea dedicated model. It is actually g35 model, hence it needing some trimming to the shroud etc.

Cheers mate, I have come across the website before I'll send an e mail. Thanks

My top tank split this week. Lots of coolant everywhere!!!! Filled 3 times and local mechanic advised not to drive it. Given the hot weather it's probably worth while. So Mishi is the pick given the comments in this thread? Looked at the e-bay option but feel it's too cheap and nasty :-(

    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
