Workmanship and finish is awesome. Credit to all of you. Such a nice package.

What do you expect it to run?

Also, Who did the door trims?

Thanks a lot mate.

DTP motorsports made the door trims. Started with carbon fibre matting on a roll and turned into what you see.

Hoping to run some 8sec passes would be nice.

Has this been tuned yet or shakedown?

No shakedown yet but we had it on the dyno last week made just over 1000hp 32psi on a dynapack. Couldn't finish the tuning as the precision blow off valve wouldn't hold boost worth a damn. Waiting on the new turbosmart power port blowoff to arrive then back to the dyno.

Saw your video on Facebook from JHH looks good man! and I hear you went down to the PT76mm?

Are you happy with JHH work?  They are currently quoting my RD block build.

You'll be happy with their work mate ive been a customer there for 15years & IMO one of if not the best engine shops in OZ .

Yep on my smaller turbo atm I'm pretty happy with 1100 at only 35psi for now.

Thats awesome!! Have you run a pass yet?

No passes yet had some wiring changes that i really wanted to do before it hits the track which has just been completed.

Great build, what's the rips glide conversion roughly worth?

You'll have to contact RIPS as the price would've changed since i purchased this kit as the US to AU $ has changed substantially.

Also i was able to finish off the shock travel sensors ready for some testing very soon. :15_yum:

Where are you at with this Rig Ryan? Had any test runs yet?

Just got the car back from Motec today actually I had them setting up the PDM, Dash, Can pad and all the driver switches. Its a slow process with a 4&1 roster working away but I've got a few dates in the next 5-6 weeks set aside on RNR for some initial testing.

Car is looking tough!

where did you get those coils from?

got any details on specs?

Thanks mate.

The coil pack bracket came from rips nz but there's other kits available now that are made locally which will do a similar job that don't require a CDI unit and are cheaper. Check out Godzilla motor sports they do a nice kit. My coils are CBR Honda coils.

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
