R33gtr Drag Car

Rob from RIPS NZ has also been a huge help along the way from good solid advice to supplying me with outside the box thinking on how to make the powerglide sit flat in the car and retain 4WD compared to the massively rotated ugly transmission setups available here in Australia.

Rips gearbox and engine mount kit.

Standard gearbox cross member complete with mount 4.6kg, RIPS only 1.8kg complete.

Factory engine mounts 736g Rips 563g

nice

also why did you chose air to air instead of W2A for a drag car, gonna go cruising?

i did consider it but would've made running events like power cruise somewhat difficult aswell as adding more complexity to the system. If i was looking for every last HP i could find and dropping a ton of weight i would've done it for sure.

Core plug retaining plates.

In some cases the grout inside the block expands and pops the core plugs this way there mechanically retained.

Awesome, love the welch plug caps!

I'm glad it's you wearing the cost of all this, dammmmmm! I'd be looking for a new wife if I spent that much on mine!

So is this up to date now or are you trickle feeding the process and it's now all finished? It reads like at least some of it was past tense.

Either way, awesome to see such an investment in a car, love it!

All the fabrication, engine and wiring has just been completed so just need do final assembly now run all the speed flow then look to start tuning it. Hopefully within the next 2 months look to have it up and running fingers crossed.

Factory Honda S2000 engine with oem ecu just a set of extractors and filter makes for 200rwhp. Not worrying about a intercooler we decided why not run air-conditioning for cruising in summer haha

Ecu to engine harness. 6 injectors, TPS, engine water temp and crank and cam sync sensor wiring can all be dressed on the engine before installation then connected via a 34pin bulk head connector on the firewall after engine installation.
