The bonnet is shut. :P

Haha

But it does stand out and makes it look even bigger.

I am tempted to get it done locally, going to see another mob tomorrow and see what they have to say, should at least be interesting :)

Go twin 3"

Exhaust sits higher (avoids defects), flows better however its more expensive and heavier

It's a single, not low mount twins. Lol

I'm sure a 3.5 or 4 inch will be more than enough.

Hi Pete can't believe the things I've read and seen mate UNBELIEVABLE! I really feel sorry for you :(

Have you had an explanation on why they made such a tiny exhaust?

IF you are coming to Sydney again id gladly knock you up something REAL nice. I can shoot you some pics of my work if you're interested ;)

Thats a great offer, love to see some pics of your work, How long does it take to do something like that. I would have to get the down pipe and Cat sorted before I give it to the builder or get them to do it before they can really fix the farked tune , thanks for the offer, I do not know what to do at the moment :/

My problem is I am a single Dad and have no other family here where I live and the kids have to go to school etc. When I drive down and if it is going to take longer than a day or 2 at the most, I have to fly back. So each of these trips cost me about $800 return.

This is why I try and get everything done at the same place at the same time, seems it is not working out real good, haha

I feel the build is so close to being finished but with a lot of nagging problems that need fixing and the builder has to fix the ones that I feel are his responsibility and I need to give them a chance to sort this shit out.

Mick_O , no one explains anything because I think it could be like admitting that they caused a problem, no one in business likes to give themselves up and take responsibility for a fault and they try to dodge the bullet :)

If it's still losing water and it's not obvious where from, it'll probably be staying with them more than one day.

Sure will, just hope that is an easy one to find or it could get ugly.

I will drop it off and if they think they can do it in 2 or 3 days I might be able to have the girls looked after and stay in Sydney until it is done , but I do not like using people up with this type of thing as there can be more important reasons for asking for a favour.

Disable the car and chuck it on the back of a transport truck and deliver it to them. Job done and no favours asked.

Haha, you jest !

Do it that way and it would be tucked down the back somewhere until " they had time to look at it "

I will wait until they have the time and then give it to them :)

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
