I have a power fc. I also have a PS2000 but never got around to using it. Ill have to ship the car miami to have it tuned. But im very intrested in getting some boost off the line. Big turbo or not. STATUS can you go through how the system would work. Throttle switch and rpm switch. i have two gtrs and would be intrested on how the system would work. Even if i was to do it on a honda civic. I just want to understand how it works and try it at some point. I understand shooting NOS will bring in a laggy turbo much faster like in the video, but using it to build boost on the line is my interest.

works killer best mod ever for big laggy turbos. even a 50hp shot can bring a big turbo on so much earlier.

Full throttle switch, arm switch and rpm switch are necessities, a decent ecu should have it there ready to go.

Status have u setup many dry kits where the ecu supplements the extra fuel required? If so is it tricky to get the tune right as apposed to using a fuel solenoid? My fear is on the off chance the fuel solenoid doesn't operate as per usual your tune will go lean and hurt something.

Personally I would use the NOS to get the car off the line while helping to build boost, have it set to start the NOS at a preset throttle position then a boost switch to turn it off once boost is where you want it, if set up right you can also use it to regain boost after gear changes

This can all be set up easier through a good ECU using the inputs that are already in play

This is where im a little confused. Wouldn't the NOS damage the motor in nutral.

Say i have the system set up. Now at at the line staging the car waiting for the light floor the car revs are maxed out lets say at 8k fuel cuts but now NOS is being dumped and like you say until boost is reached. Keeping in mind im not just dumping NOS but a mixture of NOS and fuel like the kit i have. Wouldn't this damage the engine.????

Or do you mean use it normally when the car is floored off the line.??

I can see a lean effects right away.

Maybe theres somthing im missing here.

I think where im going wrong here is using NOS to bring in a bigger turbo whiles in motion. The lag spot vs. Using NOS to build boost off the line. In nutral free reving. = cant be done. Well at least in my head.

Tps is at 100 percent

Then switch it of at say 8psi and let physics do the rest

I had a dyno of my mates rb30 with a 3540/t04z 1.06 with a 75 dry shot..

power up top was decent . Midrange was absolutely incredible

Is this method you mention building boost off the line. Or is it whiles the car is moving. Im just not to clear about this after reading. ??

you dont need it off the line generally its easy enough to make 20-25psi with a decent launch strategy in the ecu...with a manual

yeah we do mostly dry so that we have 100% control.

    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
    • 310mm rotors will be avilable from Australia, Japan, and probably a few other places. Nothing for the front can be put on the back.
    • The filter only filters down to a specific size. Add to that, the filter is AFTER the pump. So it means everything starts breaking your pump even if its being filtered out.
