ianmack79
You'll have to pull one of the bulbs out to see forsure. I've owned two 32's, first one had H3, second had H3c. niZmO_Man
H3C or H1 I think. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/456656-r32-headlamps/#findComment-7534637 Share on other sites
MozzMann
An image of the light bulb and the 3 pin spade fitting might help, is it a single or multi bulb ? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/456656-r32-headlamps/#findComment-7538567 Share on other sites

From memory, models from '89 to mid '92 were all H3C and from after mid '92 to 94 were all H4. That's for the Low Beams. H3C = Most ridiculously uncommon plug type and yet Nissan had to use it Thank goodness they switched to H4 in the later models. niZmO_Man
Non-projectors are H4. The projectors had an adaptor for H1 (I think). Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/456656-r32-headlamps/#findComment-7538719 Share on other sites

So what you're saying, you can convert a H3C plug type to H1 plug type? luke gtr
Projectors came in both h1 and h3c types. Dependant on year. They have different mounts in the projectors for the bulb. I see, must be the later models up to mid '92. As I have a '90 model and needs H3C. Thanks! GH05T
for N1 lights, is it possible to use xenon bulbs for the inner "fog lights"?i know xenons are not good for the rear reflector type main beam for on comming traffic, but probably suitable for the secondary foggies? niZmO_Man
Not sure how they are wired up. I thought they're just high beams. If so, then they'll be triggered every time you high beam (generally not good for the ballasts). GH05T
nah, highbeams are part of the outer light. one bulb does high and low, "foglights" are operated manually from the right of the dash, can be on with parkers, mains or highbeams. jiffo
My info relates to GTR's. As has been posted, I believe some 4-doors had a different H4 version. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/456656-r32-headlamps/#findComment-7539946 Share on other sites
Jordy32
Hi guys, quick question!I seem to have the Post 91 Housing, but the plug leading to my headlight is a 3 pin in a U shape, like an H4 Bulbi have put GTR headlights in my car, they work fine with HID's but im sick of them and want normal globes, would it be a case of fittings bulbs that fit the housing and wiring them up?
