well its costing me nothing to sit here and wait.

speaking of waiting... TV2 back online. not much of a drop after being halted for 6 weeks, might be a good time to jump on. but, following my logic. probably a good time to sell.

family christmas on sunday. then both parent's birthday 2 days after. havent got anyone anything. only in melbourne tomorrow and sunday. balls. might organise some people and take dad to Little River shooting range. reading through reggs and its nowhere near as flexible as it used to be. if you're not part of the club (licensed or not) theres very little you can do. pretty shit. how do you expect to get people into target and trap shooting? .22's at sandown gun range?

Sandown have done the opposite and made it easier over the years. You can rock up without a licence and be shooting as they're watching over you, or if a licenced shooter takes an unlicenced shooter along they'll leave you to do your own thing.

You still can't staple pictures of people to the timber though...

Whilst I still think 88E will slump again in the short term, the current news is great for long term holders

Reading between the lines, you don't bid on another 150,000 acres of land if there's nothing special under there...

I think it's illegal to be this accurate with predictions

If only 88E could be short sold

TLDR

So whats changed with torrents?

Still safe to download?

Still safe to download torrents, but they are trying to block websites that give them to you like the pirate bay etc. Basically nothing to worry about as there's a million other sites.

man up borrow and put 100k on it :P

Don't quite have 100k or like my chances of getting a loan secured against a spec stock lol

Watching gopro footage from yesterday at PI, sound works fine on the laptop.. tried streaming from laptop to WDTV, sound works for a few seconds then nothing, video is pretty laggy too... so moved the file to the network HDD and played through WDTV (like I do with all shows/movies) same thing happened with the sound..

Am I missing something (apart from the sound...)

Sounds (pun intended) like a bandwidth problem, I'd suggest editing the video down (or compress to 720p / lower bitrate) to a smaller file size it sounds like it's massive file size? You can use the GoPro Quik software for desktop/laptop it's pretty easy to use and free.

Yeah it was filmed in 2.7k so 3 something gb file... Just strange never had an issue playing 1080p movies over my network..

I've got the quik software, I like the gps features being automatically on videos, speed etc, but the software itself is far from great. No play controls when in full screen mode (unless they need to be turned on somehow?) need to press play everytime after searching forward or back in a clip... Little shit but pretty annoying considering its key job is to play videos..

Don't forget 2.7k has almost double the pixels of 1080p (about 1.6 million extra pixels or so) and there's other more complex things at work here too like bit rates.

And yeah the Quik software is a bit shitty / fiddly I pretty much only use it for the GPS speed gauges and crop the clip I want out. Have you got the Hero 5? I got one the touch screen is pretty sweet. I just run 1080p at 60FPS wide lense, gives dat real life quickness feeling.

Yeah hero 5 black.. Touch screen could be better but it does the job.. I was filming in 2.7 for the first few sessions but battery life was pretty bad so switched to 1080.. Still had to charge between sessions because it was dropping 20-25% per session... Not a big issue when you have power available though.
If you crop a clip can you make it so the speed etc still shows up in other players? Haven't tried that yet but I'm assuming after you actually make a clip in quik as opposed to just watching the videos in it, the gps data stays with the new clip?

Sandown gun range is like .22's and pistols only. Group I'm organising has shotguns and bigger rifles.

Go to carrum downs for shotguns / clay

Update the firmware on the gopro through the app on your iphone/android - it fixed my shitty battery life issues.

Yeah turn on the gauges, then cut the clip section you like, click save, give it a file name, and done - once you open new clip it'll play with gauges with any video player

    • Hello, sorry for being late to join the discussion, but my clock just died on me.   Ive tried to look at Michaels digital clock repair.docx and it doesnt work maybe the file has expired.   Please let me know if you can re upload it or take some youtube videos to show us how to get the clock installed? thanks
    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
