engines out and ready to start a rebuild to my RB25, wondering if its worth doing the forged internal work for it. recommendation on it?

what is wrong with the motor?

I'm assuming you have a RB25DET NEO, they're pretty solid motors and will spin 400kW ish without any real drama.

There are a few fellas here making stupid numbers on their stock motors and pound them often on the track too

forged pistons and crank collar at minimum, and a complete refresh will get u across the line sooner for cheaper. but really depends on what your plans for the vehicle, and power expectations are.

But not necessary in most cases

I wanted to do a rebuild and make mine able to handle anything i threw at it if I decided to change things later on so thast why I went forged.

I'd focus more on ARP studs etc to be honest.

It really depends on your intended use, your budget and your power goal

Best part about building engine, is when everything is painted and pretty before it goes in the car and gets dirty etc

Neo motor has GTR rods - measure up and if its not too worn just do rings and bearings and check the head and valves.

brought it as a project nothing was wrong internal wise, had a bit f a leak though and im still on my p's so cant drive it till august next year and i wanted to build something quicker, but rather do it all right the first time then having to pull it out and do shit to it again, anyone recommend doing anything specific like stage 2 cams, keep side mount or go front etc... shit like that, also replacing the fuel pump with a walbro (anyone run one?) and going with the fg GT35R turbo (thoughts on turbos?)
