Hey guys,

I'm an Aussie gtr owner based in Tokyo (kanagawa as of last month), and was wondering who of you also live in the land of the rising sun?

Hopefully if there are enough of us we could arrange the occasional meet up?

if you live in japan post a quick reply with your name, and area of residence in japan, and your car if you have one.

cheers!

Mish

Totally awesome!! If you could post these pics up regularly, I'd love to share them among the social networks. We love this stuff!

Would be great to have a little SAU contingent in Japan!!

For sure man, will do.

I might have to get myself a better camera and start getting quality pics.

which section would be best suited for my posts?

I've also got some tokyo car videos on my youtube page Tokyo TV

That was awesome, well edited too.

I think posting this stuff in the Japan section and I'll promote them around the site and on FB/Twitter etc.

I absolutely *love* those EVO wagons. So freaking cool.

Those Porsches also make my knees weak!

You can post videos with [ youtube ] bbcode.

If you do add a video, please tag the thread with 'video' as we have a bit of a video index page - http://www.sau.com.au/forums/page/videos

mate, you know what kills me? when i was looking for a car in early 2012 i saw a right hand drive 993 for around 25 grand Aussie! at the time i didn't quite have the money, and was a couple of months from being ready to buy a car. the cheapest one i can find now is 50+ grand! i also saw this happen with the hakosuka, and ken&mary non gtr skylines. prices on most modern classic cars is really going up in japan!

cool mate i'll start adding more content as i get the r32 out on the wangan, and to the meets here. i'll also try to get some dyno videos from Top Secret when i get it tuned.

cheers mate!

Any more Japanese based members on here?

To bump your old thread, I'm living in Yokohama (out near Kamiooka station) and working in Minato Mirai

I have yet to experience Daikokufuto, in the past when my friend tried to take me it was closed, so we went to Tatsumi and Umihotaro.

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
