Hi guys

My R32 GTR was stolen from my folks place in Viewbank early this morning. If anyone has any information or has seen anything, please let me know or contact the Greensborough Police Station - 8432 0200

Was last heard at around 4AM on Lower Plenty Road.

Gunmetal grey, R33 GTR wheels, looks clean and standard but is heavily modified with a single T78 turbo, NUR block, Apexi brakes, HKS suspension.

Rego - TPI 554

***UPDATE***

Car was found in Epping, and was called in to Epping Police Monday morning. The police didn't call me, and didn't bother to go out to the car until Tuesday morning. By that time, it was gone :( So angry.

Pics were taken of the car on Lyndarum Drive, Epping. I don't have much faith that it will be found now..

Car had a tow rope attached.

Mate the cops are f**king useless / do not care. They wouldn't even look at the security footage at the carpark my girlfriend's car got stolen from.

Do 5km/h over the limit and they'll happily spend 15 minutes with you on the roadside. Disgraceful state the force is in.

thats bullshit.

im guessing car wasnt driveable? you couldnt go grab it back?

I had no idea it had been reported to the police until the next day..

I would've happily gone out there had the police notified me that it had been found.

Those pics were taken by the person who found it, but they didn't know who the car belonged to.

That's f**ked up man! Not fair at all... They put millions into all these stupid inspection stations on Saturday nights and pay penalty rates... Couldn't they pay some dickhead penalty rates to get your stolen car! If there is no income to be made, most police are the most useless people in the world!

Holy shit man, I literally drove past what I think was your skyline the other day in the same spot as this photo. I even stopped for a minute to have a look because it looked beautiful... So sorry to hear man, I've had the same thing happen to me recently as well. I live near this place, I'll keep an eye out and keep a note of your number plates... Hopefully you find it soon!

*** UPDATE ***

One of the plates - TPI 554 - was spotted in Fitzroy on a Toyota Chaser, and the other plate was recently found at a house in Lalor. The police said the people at the house didn't know anything about a stolen car (no surprises there).

I've tried to keep an eye out as that's literally around the corner from me, a lot of skylines in the area...there's a burnt out supra in one of the paddocks that hasn't been built on yet as well...

Wonder which house in Lalor...ill see if any parts start to pop up

Sorry for the delay guys..

The cops haven't told me exactly where in Lalor the plates were found. It's apparently still part of the investigation.

*** Recent spotting of the plates this morning (well 1 plate, on the rear) - TPI 554 - on a silver 3 series BMW in Preston (Chifley Drive, heading towards Northland Shopping Centre). Cops are currently out there looking.

ok maybe I'm a bit stupid...

but why would you drive around with a stolen cars plates on your car.

Shit if you were going to steal fuel or do a drive by, pull up around the corner and grab non stolen plates off a random in a street.

these dicks just seem to have some kangaroos loose in the top paddock

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
