Selling my carbonfibre bonnet for R32 GTR but i have had it fitted to my GTSt.

I managed to fit mine by altering the standard lock mechanism (it's actually just the angle of the lock mechanism that needs to be changed).

I have had the bonnet for 3months and i love it so much!! But it's an added extra i dont need as a struggling student.

This style of carbonfibre bonnet is the rarer of the two styles going around. As you can see from the pic it's not the UAS/Carmate style one. It also comes with the aero lip which i believe was added to deflect air into the radiator. These lips alone cost ~$300 in carbonfibre as this one is.

It was originally ordered from Works Auto in W.A. for $1250. As far as ive been told they no longer stock them.

CONDITION: Great overall condition. It does have a few scuff marks - ive never tried polishing them but there are only 2 small scratches and a small chip on the side of the bonnet that isnt very visible when the bonnet is on and closed. The overall effect is awesome.

Under the bonnet it has been modified to fit intercooler piping and BOV without touching. It is extremely light (you could pick it up off the ground with one hand).

I also have the matching GTR grille to go with it. Grille is like new. No marks at all.

PRICE:

Grille: $200

Bonnet: $900

PM me if interested. I can post to anywhere in OZ - i have a secure, protected box with padding.

As for the gap i can assure you the bonnet sits perfectly flat!!!

That photo was taken the minute the bonnet was fitted..... you have to make adjustments as with any bonnet. I only uploaded that pic cos quality wise it's the best ive got :D

Emails have been sent out.

Had numerous offers but still for sale.

Can do package for $1000

I will take it for $1000 to Melb.

WRONG!!!!!

If you'd read my first post you wouldve noticed that i said "This style of carbonfibre bonnet is the rarer of the two styles going around. As you can see from the pic it's not the UAS/Carmate style one."

We all make mistakes, but get your facts right before you try and sabotage a someone else's sale.

Let me repeat. This bonnet is rare. It is NOT available in Sydney or anywhere else in Australia as far as i know.

Are these legal in VIC?

Insurable?

If so might be interested

Not sure if they are or aren't. All i know is that i have been pulled over by police for rbt etc and they have never looked twice at it.

I highly doubt you'd have any dramas. Even if you did you just put back on your old one, clear up the defect and stick back on the c/f bonnet.

My car is insured and they know about it and dont seem to care.....

Im not offering any guarantees as obviously im in Sydney

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
