After two month of pure joy, i decided to start the registration in France, and searching a pro to make it.

I found it, but that day I would have done better to shoot myself in the foot...

The "pro" taking me 3500€ to make all the registration ( in france we have a lot of job to make it) and says to me the job is ok in 2 at 4 month.

And the wait started... She only passed the car to the UTAC, who was making the dynamic test, back vision, braking, sound...

After 4 months and a lot of lies, i finally taking back the car, and decided to make it himself. (to give you and idea, when i pick up the car, i found a muffin from a fast food chain in my glovebox, with the invoice... he was here from february to april !  )

So... i have the car, i have lost 3500 euros, and i have no registration.

First thing, i need to pass the technic control (like the MOT in UK, i think you have the same controle in AU ?), but she's don't pass... the front light need to be oriented on the right, and the windshield was cracked. Well... After long search, i finally found one in netherlands, and cost me 850€ with shipping, and 250€ to change it... (July 2016)

The windshield was ok, now changing the light orientation...

I open the front light, make another parts for making the light go on the right, closed them, and all is ok ! Back to the control center, all is ok ! One more step to my registration !

Next things i need an attestation of no conformity from nissan, no problem, i send a paiement of 120€ and i've got the paper, same thing for the fiscal paper (to inform the gouvernement i have buying a car in another country, no problem the paper is free)

Now the biggest problem... the DREAL... Who checking all the information in paper, on the car, and a lot of other things. i make 3h on the road to go at the inspection, and i don't want to make it for nothing...

The biggest problem for me is the tyre size. On the paper from Nissan they marked the size wheels in 16, on the car i have a stickers in 225/45/17, and my car is in configuration VspecII with the tyres in 245/45/17...

I have chance, he notified me for this, but don't make more (they have a lot of problem with the "Pro" where i put my car 11 month ago, and don't want to block me just for that)

Now waiting for the answer... they send all the paper in another center, who check everythings (one more time) and after, if it's ok, they send me the information to make the registration paper... (15 december 2016)

I passed the chrismas with my family in the center of France, and when i come back, the 26 december, i have a letter from them... I'm nervous, if i failed i need to make all the test again...

And nop ! All is ok ! I finally can make my french plate ! For information, i have the 2nd 32-Vspec in France, know you understand my joy ^^

This is the closing of the chapter for the registration, Now i can make next paper for all the mod and the orientation of my project !

One more time, i'm sorry if my english is not perfect, if you have any question, you can post it here or send me a PM ;)

After buying the car, i have one thing : make the chassis more rigid, but without a rollcage.

that's why i buying a lot of brace ^^

12370831_10153635229438463_1785712359302850522_o.jpg

first time i have mounting the big under crossbar and the front lower

10157397_10153678178598463_1744146508052193039_n.jpg

They make a great job and i'm happy with that for a moment...

But after i want more (and mouting the brace one by one let me the time to see the difference part after part) , so i mounted the fender brace

immediately the direction was better, more incisive, and i have more feeling, great ad for the car, i'm really happy !

and 1 month ago, i'm decided to finish with that and put the car on the jack, and trying to mounted the big one on de rear (no really on the rear, but more on the middle, at the jonction of the drive shaft)

and it's a drama... the brace does not fit with the exhaust... so i decided to mount it, and buy a no name catback on ebay (i don't want to scratch the nismo catback)  to searching a solution.

and this is the solution :

Not really beautiful yeh ? I know the job is not really nice, but for me it's a test catback, and i don't care to make a uggly testing pipe.

I finally decided to dismounted the big scare, for me he just doing nothing, the big part of job was made by the two brace on the back.

now i have a nice rear, and i'm going to see how he work the 4 march, on Bresse track, at 1h of me ^^

Nice ! You'r so lucky to have the center caps... The shop where i buy mine, don't send them with the wheels... And when i see the price just for a used set of 4 , i want to die :4_joy:

In white they are really beautiful, but i don't have the time to wash the wheels after each ride ^^

    • I drive the Tiguan much harder than the Skyline in all conditions, because it just grips and hooks, unlike the R33 shit box
    • The rain is the best time to push to the edge of the grip limit. Water lubrication reduces the consumption of rubber without reducing the fun. I take pleasure in driving around the outside of numpties in Audis, WRXs, BRZs, etc, because they get all worried in the wet. They warm up faster than the engine oil does.
    • When they're dead cold, and in the wet, they're not very fun. RE003 are alright, they do harden very quickly and turn into literally $50 Pace tyres.
    • Yeah, I thought that Reedy's video was quite good because he compared old and new (as in, well used and quite new) AD09s, with what is generally considered to be the fast Yokohama in this category (ie, sporty road/track tyres) and a tyre that people might be able to use to extend the comparo out into the space of more expensive European tyres, being the Cup 2. No-one would ever agree that the Cup 2 is a poor tyre - many would suggest that it is close to the very top of the category. And, for them all to come out so close to each other, and for the cheaper tyre in the test to do so well against the others, in some cases being even faster, shows that (good, non-linglong) tyres are reaching a plateau in terms of how good they can get, and they're all sitting on that same plateau. Anyway, on the AD08R, AD09, RS4 that I've had on the car in recent years, I've never had a problem in the cold and wet. SA gets down to 0-10°C in winter. Not so often, but it was only 4°C when I got in the car this morning. Once the tyres are warm (ie, after about 2km), you can start to lay into them. I've never aquaplaned or suffered serious off-corner understeer or anything like that in the wet, that I would not have expected to happen with a more normal tyre. I had some RE003s, and they were shit in the dry, shit in the wet, shit everywhere. I would rate the RS4 and AD0x as being more trustworthy in the wet, once the rubber is warm. Bridgestone should be ashamed of the RE003.
    • This is why I gave the disclaimer about how I drive in the wet which I feel is pretty important. I have heard people think RS4's are horrible in the rain, but I have this feeling they must be driving (or attempting to drive) anywhere close to the grip limit. I legitimately drive at the speed limit/below speed the limit 100% of the time in the rain. More than happy to just commute along at 50kmh behind a train of cars in 5th gear etc. I do agree with you with regards to the temp and the 'quality' of the tyre Dose. Most UHP tyres aren't even up to temperature on the road anyway, even when going mad initial D canyon carving. It would be interesting to see a not-up-to-temp UHP tyre compared against a mere... normal...HP tyre at these temperatures. I don't think you're (or me in this case) is actually picking up grip with an RS4/AD09 on the road relative to something like a RE003 because the RS4/AD09 is not up to temp and the RE003 is closer to it's optimal operating window.
