hey guys i was at work today and thinking about what i can do to my r32 gtst next... and i thought i wonder what ppl go for these days and what ppl concider to be tuff, quick and sweet all round.....

this started me thinking and so i have started this thread..... in all of the s/e QLD guys on this forum who go to meet ups and track days and cruises etc ( u know who u are) who in your opinion takes the titles of:

1:quickest skyline (this one is quite obvious)

2:tuffest skyline (a car which in your opinion is just tuff looking or just tuff overall)

3:a skyline that really stands out from the rest (something that makes this car "outstanding")

4:tidiest skyline (how well the car is always presented)

5:best overall package (combining driveline and cosmetics and performance)

in my opinion for me the cars which these are for me are the following (not trying to stir anyone up remembering this is everyones personal opinion) what i came up with after a few moments thginking was:

1: Belgarions quick as all hell R33 ....gtst its a great overall package

2:M3M3NT0/CHASP's r32 gtr.... just has all the good gear and will really hammer when sorted

3:Erins r33 gtst ....cause its always well presented and tidy (everytime ive seen it anyway  )

4:MELVS r33 gtr.... i saw it at x rated and its a very well thought out and put together car

5: still thinking :headspin:

so if anyone wants to add to this for me and please give a quick reason/explaination as to why you made the decision you did .... cheers Jon

I would of nominated mine for tidiest or best overall package, mainly bcos everywhere i go people say its not just another skyline :)

but after hitting a possum the other nite, my front bar doesnt look to happy :P

I think everyones car is special in its own way, by far some are better than others, but thats only to do with how much money people have

These are all cars that I've been associated with in some way, mostly through SAU or SVD organised days... They dont really "cruise" though, so I dunno if that makes it irrelevant.

1:quickest skyline (this one is quite obvious)

Either PSI-350 or Richard Hulls RB26 powered GTST. Wheelspin at freeway speeds is hardc0re, you hear me?

2:tuffest skyline (a car which in your opinion is just tuff looking or just tuff overall)

MMM59 or Melvs GTR are very tough... When japtaxi gets his car back on the road, I think he may just walk away with this little award though :)

3:a skyline that really stands out from the rest (something that makes this car "outstanding")

You might actually get this crown John, mainly because of this photo:

... It really just looks the goods and it has that X factor.

4:tidiest skyline (how well the car is always presented)

Erin gets the vote for this one :P And I guess I'm biased, but its always clean and shiny.

5:best overall package (combining driveline and cosmetics and performance)

No real "most fully ever" car springs to mind. Some cars are awesome in terms of power, but others look prettier. Some just stand out in a crowd, despite being neither super powerful or super shiny. I'l reserve judgement I think.

and yeah it doesnt have to turn into a shitfight whats wring with ppl saying what they like about other peoples cars.... if it offends people then good on em cause its not intended in that way at all... just a means of getting new ideas, seeing what ppl like and giving credit where its due....

if most people think that this thread will just cause a shitfight ill be happy to close it even though i dont want to...

lol, u cant nominate yourself you wanker

This thread is pointless because everyone has different tastes :)

Cool a payout thread :)

Hmmmmm where to start.....

Just coz youv'e got some dodgy crap Japanese writing down the side of your car doesn't make it "supreme" Knore :(

It's an auto for godsake, not even a real car.

And everyone knows white cars just plain suck :)

A Skyline with four doors WTF???? .... can we say Taxi

Gun Metal grey Skylines with Veilside Frontbars yuuuuuk

But cars with blue interiors....theyr'e the "bomb"

(no offence to anyone, just having a dig in a stupid thread....I like all Skylines and all tastes are different)

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
