dyl33
Hi, Im going to be installing 1000cc injectors and don't want to get the car towed to the tuner. The car already has a z32 nistune ecu and i want to rescale the injectors to be able to drive the car. Just wondering what i need to do and buy to rescale injectors in nistune? i watched this @1m:20 m.youtube.com/watch?v=AUrGrBmo9kk is that all i need to do for z32? Will a ecutalk consult cable connect to nistune? Thanks Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/481030-rescale-injectors-nistune-how-to/ Share on other sites

GTSBoy
The process is very simply described in the Nistune documentation. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/481030-rescale-injectors-nistune-how-to/#findComment-7938944 Share on other sites

dyl33
If im just rescaling the injectors do i need a afr gauge? It should be fine to drive the 40km to the tuner after doing the injector rescale? Dose Pipe Sutututu
you also need a Nistune license, and generally an AFR is very helpful however if you're babying the car the STFT should be enough to keep your car at stoich on cruise provided your stock narrowband works. dyl33
Yeah i dont mind buying the nistune license if it saves not using a tow truck, its about the same cost. It would also be good to be able to idle, bleed coolant and check everything before dropping it off. TurboTapin
Just drive it slow and out of boost on your way to the dyno. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/481030-rescale-injectors-nistune-how-to/#findComment-7939105 Share on other sites
dyl33
Do i tick - Adjust tb load scalers, Adjust ttp min/max limits and Adjust cranking tables When changing from factory 370cc to 1000cc bosch injectors and will i need to change the latency? dyl33
After a little more research, i believe i do NOT tick Adjust TB load scalers and cranking tables. But i do tick adjust TPP min/max limits Does that sound right? GTSBoy
That sounds right, but I'm sure it is very clearly described in the tuning guide. dyl33
Yep it is described in the tuning guide, the above is what I believe I need to do. But it would be nice to double check with someone that has more knowledge on the matter so im not overlooking anything important. dyl33
Will i need to manually change the injector latency? I think stock rb25det 370cc is 0.53ms @ 14v and bosch 1000cc are 1.2ms @ 14v Do i need to touch this? dyl33
Thanks @Ben C34 Other thing before i go and do it today, should i tick crank enrichment tables? it says for bigger injectors normally you need to lower the value by the % increase in injector size so the car starts without flooding? dyl33
Yeah that's what i thought but then in the nistune software it say, unticked(default) only use for small injectors And is this link, he leaves it untick for i.d 1000s for rb25 http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AUrGrBmo9kk So not sure now Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/481030-rescale-injectors-nistune-how-to/#findComment-7939982 Share on other sites
Ben C34
It's not like this a one shot deal, or that it will hit the engine. Just try it and see what happens. If no good do it with box checked etc Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/481030-rescale-injectors-nistune-how-to/#findComment-7939984 Share on other sites

dyl33
It all worked, bled coolant and drove fine. Only thing while driving it started to get a little intermittent idle hunt, hopfully thats just a small vac leak but all good i think.
