Rez's R32 GTS-t Type M... presentable version!

Recommended Posts

Dave, stock GTS-t Type M power is 215ps (160kw), so the pod and muffler prolly add 5kw or so... it's anyones guess. My top end isn't too shabby though, so I might get you there.

So, on paper, that's at least 20PS up on me...I might pull away for the first 50m's or so, the extra 500 cc's helping me out, but once your turbo spools up you'll be sailing past me :D

of course, if I run without the tailpipe baffle in, my top end power is up...but the bottom end torque all but disappears...still, I could win by deafening everyone! :D

:D

How's about a tow rope between the Evo and the GT-V...would that be cheating? :D :D ;)

Nah...I'll be OK. There's no straight roads around here, all mountains passes and twisties, so while you guys have the quicker cars, I've got the home-field advantage :D :D :D

Hey mate! Love those mirrors. Always wanted some but I am a sucker for my folding power mirrors!

And those wheels are hardcore. Anyone who knows Regamasters will know that these are perhaps the lightest wheels on the market out there and it's just a bonus that they happen to look cool too.

Justin, if I still had the factory airbox like you do, I would have converted it to enclose the pod.

The one I have now is a WRC airbox, but look through the books I passed to you...I'm sure you should be able to find some airboxes in there.

Are we competing...I maybe leading but your car is still lighter, more so when your carbon bonnet goes on...yikes!

I don't actually think you can convert the factor air box to enclose the pod easily...or can you?

Perhaps you could accomodate a smaller pod, but I was suggesting returning it back to a panel filter with a CAI. I would if I could but I went with a WRC straight induction box. Pods IMO don't make that much of a difference.

Alot of the Super Taikyu Evos are running with the factory airbox and making 410ps/50kgm from the factory setup (std internals, turbo, cams, manifold, surge tank, I/C, etc) with only an aftermarket computer, larger fuelpump, front pipe and exhaust. Course they are super light...completely stripped interior.

Thanks... errr... Justin! :)

When we were at Autobacs, Evo_Lee gave my Regamasters the "one arm test" and gave them the thumbs up.... they *must* be light...;)

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
